(AHM) is a non-profit organization established to operate the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta across from Centennial Olympic Park, the Hall opened its doors in August 2014 and has secured its reputation as one of Atlanta’s most engaging and interactive attractions. AHM’s mission is to inspire and entertain by celebrating the passion and traditions of college football and its greatest players and coaches.
Job Summary:
The Marketing Trainee is a full-time, year-long professional development role designed for recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in sports and entertainment marketing. This role offers exposure to digital marketing, advertising, promotional events, sponsorship activation, content creation, and brand strategy, equipping candidates with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the industry. The Marketing Trainee will work alongside the Marketing team to execute campaigns, create content, support events, and enhance brand visibility. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build their expertise while contributing to a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
Role, Responsibilities, and Key Performance Areas:
Marketing & Promotions:
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital, social and traditional media initiatives. Support email marketing efforts, including content creation, audience segmentation, and performance tracking. Coordinate with agency partners to execute campaigns, manage media buys, and facilitate public relations efforts. Research and propose new promotional initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive visitation. Develop and edit copy for advertisements, website content, social media posts, and marketing collateral.
Events & Activations:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing marketing events, including vendor outreach, logistics, and on-site support. Engage with local businesses, organizations, and community partners to promote upcoming events. Prepare event recaps and performance reports for internal teams and partners.
Content Creation & Communications:
Assist in managing and updating the College Football Hall of Fame website to optimize user experience and conversions. Assist Content Manager in creating, scheduling, and managing engaging social media content across multiple platforms. Collaborate with graphic designers and Digital Content Coordinator to produce compelling digital and print marketing assets. Work closely with the team to develop and execute storytelling initiatives that align with the Hall’s brand.
Corporate Partnerships & Sales Support:
Assist in sponsorship activation efforts, ensuring fulfillment of partnership deliverables. Work with Group Sales and tourism partners to drive attendance through targeted outreach and promotional efforts.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Monitor social media and website analytics, identifying trends and opportunities for engagement. Compile data from event activations, digital campaigns, and partnership initiatives to measure impact. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content. Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Understands the importance of meeting internal and external deadlines and can adapt to changing priorities.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business, Sports Management, or related field preferred). Previous internship or relevant experience in marketing, sports, or entertainment is a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); familiarity with Outlook, digital marketing tools, Adobe Creative Suite, or analytics platforms is a plus. Passion for football and the sports industry is a plus.
Additional Position Details:
Full-time, one-year professional development role based in Atlanta, GA. Compensation of $15.50 per hour. This is a non-exempt, temporary position. Professional development opportunity in sports and entertainment marketing. Hands-on experience in a fun, collaborative, and inclusive environment at the College Football Hall of Fame. Gain valuable networking and professional development experience. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holiday for events and activations. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
