Full Job Description Store Vision:

Bricks & Minifigs is first and foremost a fun place for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy and explore their passion for LEGO. We provide excellent customer service, a variety of unique products, and an overall enjoyable environment for our LEGO community. Each Bricks & Minifigs location is locally owned, and part of a growing franchise, headquartered in Orem, UT. We are a buy, sell, trade store that encourages customers to reuse, rebuild and reimagine with LEGO elements.

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing and Content Associate will support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives to drive traffic, increase sales, and build brand awareness. This role requires a hands-on, versatile marketer who is comfortable with both digital and traditional marketing in a fast-paced, small-business environment. This new position is closely linked to all other aspects of the business, including on-site and off-site events. For this role, attention to detail, planning, and ability to be creative are all much more important than knowledge of LEGO. There is a minimum of 10 hours per week, but those interested in more hours may have the option of adding more general Store Associate duties to increase the total to up to 35 hours per week. The way the position fits within our team can be flexible to fit the goals and availability of a qualified candidate.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns (online and offline)
  • Create engaging content for social media, email newsletters, and the company website
  • Maintain and grow our social media presence across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Coordinate in-store promotions, events, and seasonal marketing efforts
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts using analytics tools
  • Support the creation and distribution of marketing materials such as flyers, signage, and ads
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities
  • Collaborate with other team members on branding and customer engagement strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with Corporate and vendor (including LEGO) marketing requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • 1-3 years of marketing experience, preferably in retail or small business
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content creation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with tools like Canva, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite, or similar platforms
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design and detail
  • Passion for local businesses and community engagement
  • Act with integrity and accountability
  • Work collaboratively with others
  • A desire to develop your skills and grow within the role and organization
Preferred:

Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce)

    Preferred:

    Basic graphic design or photography skills

      Preferred:

      Knowledge of SEO and paid advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads)

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
      • Physically able to lift and move heavy objects (40+ pounds) and stand for long periods of time
      • Occasionally, the position may require travel to a surrounding area.

      COMPENSATION, PERKS AND SHIFTS

      • Depending on the desires and availability of the person hired, this position will be 10-35 hours per week with wages generally from $14.50/hour (depending on experience and availability). Compensation for this position has the potential for an increase based on the performance of the business and the individual.

      Shifts may include a mixture of weekends and weekdays.
