Position Summary:
Teaching in the marketing discipline at the undergraduate and graduate levels; providing service to the department, school, and university; to be active in their field both within the academy and the business community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaches Marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Teaches courses on Main Campus, at the Raleigh Campus, and online
Formally advises students
Stays current in the Marketing discipline and crafts new courses reflecting marketing in today’s business environment
Takes a leadership role in developing and growing the Marketing major
Encourages Marketing majors to participate in external events, competitions, and internships
Works closely with the LFSB Director of Career Services to prepare students for internships and permanent positions, as well as takes the lead in cultivating prospective employers
Designs and delivers professional development offerings to the business community
Actively participates in LFSB programs, events, and activities
Education/Experience:
Master’s degree in business; Ph.D. in Marketing desired.
Experience in teaching at the university level, including online delivery
Experience in the private business sector desired
Experience in delivering professional education programs desired
Active in academic research, with an identifiable research stream desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to deliver a variety of marketing discipline courses
Knowledge and fluency with digital marketing and marketing analytics
Ability to conduct training is sales and marketing to business community
Strong affinity and commitment to student engagement
Interest and skills for ing technology to marketing discipline
Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
Familiarity with utilizing/administering social media platforms used for marketing applications.
