Faculty Job Summary The Department of Marketing at East Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning August 2025. This is a 9-month academic, tenure-track position. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the ability to teach, research, and support the development of student programs in marketing. The candidate will also be responsible for mentoring students and supporting student organizations. Required Qualifications
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or DBA in marketing or a related field
Effective online and in-class teaching experience in general marketing (e.g., principles of marketing, consumer behavior) and Marketing Research/Analytics
Preferred Qualifications
Strong potential or existing research record as demonstrated through publications in academic journals such as those on the ABDC list, and evidence of an ongoing research program/agenda
Committee service, such as with curriculum development and/or student organizations
Proficient in analytical tools
Actively involved in external service (e.g., journal reviewer, academy marketing organization conference session chair)
Knowledge of course and curriculum development process
