Faculty Job Summary The Department of Marketing at East Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor beginning August 2025. This is a 9-month academic, tenure-track position. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the ability to teach, research, and support the development of student programs in marketing. The candidate will also be responsible for mentoring students and supporting student organizations. Required Qualifications
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or DBA in marketing from an AACSB-accredited program.
Effective online and in-class teaching experience in general marketing courses, as well as specifically in Marketing Management.
Service to marketing journals and academic marketing organizations through some participation (e.g., regular presentations, conference reviewer, track chair, session chair).
Experience leading student preparation for case competitions and in student organizations
Emphasis on incorporating community-engaged learning into course instruction
Expertise integrating artificial intelligence tools into marketing courses
Preferred Qualifications
Strong potential research record as demonstrated through evidence of an ongoing research agenda
Knowledge of course and curriculum development process
Committee service, such as with curriculum development or teaching effectiveness
