The Digital Media Manager is responsible for shaping and maintaining the organization’s online presence across social media and web platforms. This role oversees content creation, post management, audience engagement and web traffic optimization, ensuring a dynamic and engaging digital strategy. Additionally, the Digital Media Manager serves as the in- house videographer, photographer, and podcast producer, bringing stories to life through compelling visuals and audio content.

Essential Functions:

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the Chamber’s goals to enhance engagement and visibility. Create, curate, and publish compelling daily content, including text, photos, graphics, videos and news across multiple platforms. Manage and maintain the MobileChamber.com website, ensuring timely updates to the community calendar, advertising, job postings, staff listings and member-to-member deals. Manage and maintain TheBusinessView.com website with articles, podcasts and advertising. Lead podcast production, including recording, editing, publishing and marketing to expand audience reach and engagement. Serve as the primary videographer, producing high-quality video content for presentations, social media, the Chamber website, Chamber publications and marketing campaigns. Act as the primary photographer, capturing visuals for social media, the Chamber website, Chamber publications and marketing campaigns. Monitor and analyze website and social media analytics, preparing monthly reports to assess performance and optimize digital marketing efforts. Research and stay informed on emerging social media trends, audience preferences and best practices to enhance engagement. Engage with followers, responding to inquiries and managing online reviews in a timely and professional manner. Foster meaningful connections with the community, encouraging interaction through dialogue and messaging. Oversee and refine social media account aesthetics, including profile images, cover designs and feature highlights. Identify and implement innovative features and promotions to increase brand awareness and audience participation. Stay current with evolving technologies, social media tools and design applications to keep the Chamber’s digital presence ahead of industry trends. Manage digital content archives, organizing and maintaining photos and videos for seamless access and usage across platforms. Collaborate across departments to ensure website and social media content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational priorities. Support enhancing economic opportunities for all citizens throughout the Chamber and its program of work. Attend staff, departmental meetings, and safety and health training, as required, on time. Work when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy. Observe and practice all safety procedures and policies. Required to attend meetings and activities outside of regular work hours; flexibility is essential. Required to travel as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Excellent copywriting skills. Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, graphics and video). Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Hey Orca, Hootsuite or Sprout Social. Proficient shooting and editing videos for presentations, social media and event promotions. Ability to be self-sufficient, independent and resourceful. Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and members face to face. Ability to communicate clearly, orally, in writing, and use emotional intelligence to work through challenges and issues. Must be able to effectively deal with volunteers, the media and the public in a congenial manner. Must possess communication skills to deal and negotiate with members of all backgrounds and personalities. Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations. Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English. Must have above average computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs and Adobe Creative Suite. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using fractions and decimals. Must be able to work well under pressure and manage priorities. Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to read and understand information displayed on computer screens and printed documents, with or without corrective lenses. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both in person and via telephone or email. Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in person and over the phone, with or without assistive devices. Ability to reach overhead or at/below shoulder level occasionally. Ability to ascend/descend stairs occasionally. Ability to be in stationary position for extended periods of time while using hands, fingers, and wrists repetitively on a keyboard. Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to move about throughout the day.

Experience/Education:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design or related field. Proficiency in social media management, digital marketing, content creation or multimedia production , preferably in a business, nonprofit or chamber of commerce environment. Strong background in video production and editing using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software. Familiarity with podcast production , including recording, editing, and publishing. Additional certifications such as Google Analytics and/or Adobe Creative Suite products is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background and motor vehicle check.
