Position Summary :
The Marketing and Community Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining communication and support networks among key external organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. A minimum of five years of marketing experience is preferred. Experience in marketing in a non-profit organization preferred. Additional agency experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to successfully promote events and work with limited budgets in marketing an organization. Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in working with the media as well as managing volunteers and business/community partnerships are necessary. Excellent writing skills and demonstrated ability to do graphic arts design. Photography and video skills preferred. Samples required at interview. Must be proficient in Microsoft 10, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite. The position requires the use of publication, photo, video, and audio editing software.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for developing and maintaining communication and support networks among key external organizations and interests such as parents, volunteers, business partners, and community groups. Responsible for the district’s strategic planning and coordination of these networks to improve community and parental involvement, marketing of district services, and customer service. To establish a positive relationship with parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors Perform other duties as assigned by senior communication officer.
