The Director – Affiliate will play a critical role in establishing and rapidly growing the affiliate marketing program for Hard Rock Digital. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire affiliate lifecycle, from identifying and recruiting new partners to optimizing their performance and ensuring compliance. With a strong focus on driving new customer acquisition and expanding our web footprint through strategic partnerships, this role will oversee the development of a robust affiliate ecosystem. These efforts will directly contribute to user acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth across our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the affiliate marketing landscape, particularly within the sports betting and online casino category or highly regulated online entertainment industries. They should possess excellent business development and negotiation skills, a strong operational mindset, and the ability to scale a program from the ground up. This role requires someone prepared to build, adapt, and learn quickly as the competitive landscape of online gaming and digital marketing rapidly evolves. They will be instrumental in leading a small team, with the potential to grow as the program expands.

Key Responsibilities:
Affiliate Program Strategy & Development:

Define, develop, and execute the overall affiliate marketing strategy for Hard Rock Digital, identifying key growth opportunities and setting ambitious but achievable performance targets.

Partner Acquisition & Relationship Management:

Lead the identification, recruitment, and onboarding of new affiliate partners. Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with key affiliates, ensuring mutual success and compliance.

Performance Optimization & Analysis:

Monitor, analyze, and optimize affiliate campaign performance using data-driven insights. Implement A/B tests, refine commission structures, and develop incentives to maximize ROI and partner effectiveness.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure all affiliate activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements, brand guidelines, and ethical standards, especially within the gaming industry.

Team Leadership & Management:

Build, mentor, and manage a small team, fostering an environment of continuous learning, performance excellence, and strategic thinking.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with marketing, product, legal, and analytics teams to ensure affiliate initiatives are integrated with broader company objectives and regulatory frameworks.

Industry & Competitive Intelligence:

Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and competitor strategies within the affiliate marketing and iGaming sectors to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. What are we looking for? 5+ years of experience in affiliate marketing management, with a proven track record of successfully building, scaling, and managing affiliate programs, preferably within the iGaming, sports betting, or highly regulated online entertainment industries. Demonstrable experience with and a strong understanding of various affiliate tracking platforms and tools. Proven ability to identify, recruit, and onboard high-performing affiliate partners. A “builder” mindset with a strong interest in growing a program from its early stages, leveraging a hacking/growth approach to expansion. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships with diverse partners. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize program performance. Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience in motivating, developing, and scaling a team. Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and responsible gaming practices within the affiliate marketing context. Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong sense of accountability and a focus on delivering measurable results. What’s in it for you?
