Kemperis seeking a Technical Digital Lead to join our team, focusing onenhancing the digital experience for auto insurance customersthrough web-based and mobile-first applications. You will providedesign and development leadership across multiple teams, workingclosely with enterprise architecture and business teams to defineand execute the digital roadmap. You will be responsible for thetechnical execution of transformational efforts on our customers’digital journeys. Additional responsibilities include conductingproduct evaluations, strategic platform planning, and ensuringalignment with our customer value chain leadership.
PositionResponsibilities Define and develop the strategic roadmap with senior IT andvalue chain leadership to impact the company’s objectives andresults. Lead the development and execution of a digital strategy forexceptional web-based and mobile-first experiences for autoinsurance customers. Manage teams of external contractors and internal employees toexecute large, cross-functional application systems. Consult with senior stakeholders to identify business andtechnology needs and optimize the use of informationtechnology. Ensure smooth IT service delivery by monitoring systemperformance and recommending process enhancements. Create processes and standards for system selection,implementation, and support. Provide technical leadership, direction, guidance, and trainingas needed. Participate in Proof-of-Concept work to evaluate platforms andcapabilities. Coordinate system resources and projects with customers,vendors, and other areas to ensure seamless integration andsuperior user experience. Implement agile development strategies and MVP approaches toaccelerate the delivery of high-quality digital products. Adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, androles. Communicate and report effectively at the business and ITexecutive level. Build consensus among business and technologystakeholders. Derive SLAs and KPIs for critical business systems andfunctionality. Lead teams to triage and resolve system outages and preventfuture occurrences.
Position Qualifications College degree in computer science or a related field, orequivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementinglarge-scale software solutions in the P&C insurance industry,focusing on mobile-first applications (Commercial Auto and PrivatePassenger Auto experience a plus). Proven experience in designing and developing large-scaleenterprise applications in technical development, solutionarchitecture, or application architecture roles, focusing oncustomer-facing digital application development. Experience in front-end technologies such as Angular,Typescript, HTML, CSS, Web Components preferred. Experience working with applications in a Cloud environment andSaaS. Experience with cloud-native solutions such as Lambda, APIGateway, EKS, and cloud data platforms is a plus. Experience supporting applications/systems with multipleintegration points, including external third-party systems throughAPIs. Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot. Experience with Postgres database management is a plus. Experience with progressive web apps (PWAs) and mobile appsdevelopment. Experience with JWT, OAuth, OpenID, and SAML is a plus. Experience with
UI/UX, PWA
is a plus. Experience with Guidewire Digital products is a plus. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins is a plus. Strong presentation, verbal, and written skills. Experience with APM tools, application performance analysis,and tuning. Experience with Test Driven Development methodology. Experience executing transformation projects with agiledevelopment methodologies and MVP approaches.
