  • Business Development leads the development of marketing strategies to support the following business development areas: Corporate Giving, Major Gifts, Mid-Level Giving, Foundations, and Planned Giving.

The Marketing Manager serves as the lead marketing subject matter expert, providing strategic consultation, partnership, and guidance across assigned business areas. This role influences marketing plans that inform, educate, inspire, and engage current and potential partners, sponsors, donors, and foundations to give and get involved.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with Marketing, Communications, and assigned business areas to develop marketing strategies that support organizational and business development objectives for Corporate Giving, Major Gifts, Mid-Level Giving, Foundations, and Planned Giving. Provide expertise across Marketing and assigned business areas to understand and translate business objectives into marketing objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact and marketing subject matter expert for business development team strategies. Manage relationships and establish rapport with internal teams and external marketing agencies. Manage strategic planning, asset creation, and engagement and acquisition efforts to increase awareness of ways to give and get involved with WWP within assigned business areas. Oversee marketing support for business development activations and stewardship efforts. Provide integrated marketing consultation to internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis, demonstrating a strong ability to influence, build consensus, and drive action. Manage the development of innovative marketing plans, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Gather analytics and insights (e.g., webpage traffic, email and social media engagement) to inform strategic recommendations for ongoing planning and enhancements of integrated marketing plans. Supervise and approve the creative and content development process for marketing plans, campaigns, and activations (e.g., messaging, collateral, websites, email communications, multimedia assets). Steward the mission, vision, values, and culture of WWP, providing thought leadership to Marketing & Communications teammates and WWP teams. Train, develop, and manage Marketing Specialists supporting assigned business areas and objectives. Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles. Other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements Six years of experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field. Four years of experience in marketing planning, execution, and measurement. Three years of nonprofit and/or fundraising experience. Preferences One year of direct staff management experience.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, marketing, or related field. Preferences None.

The estimated hiring range for this position is between $82,790

  • $103,488 base salary, subject to a candidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials.

This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive. For Washington, D.C.

The estimated hiring range for this position is between $94,617

  • $118,272 annual base salary, subject to a candidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials.

This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.

For New York Applicants:

The estimated hiring range for this position is between $98,560

  • $123,200 annual base salary, subject to a candidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
