The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) MarketingManager

  • Business Development leads the development of marketingstrategies to support the following business development areas:

Corporate Giving, Major Gifts, Mid-Level Giving, Foundations, andPlanned Giving. The Marketing Manager serves as the lead marketingsubject matter expert, providing strategic consultation,partnership, and guidance across assigned business areas. This roleinfluences marketing plans that inform, educate, inspire, andengage current and potential partners, sponsors, donors, andfoundations to give and get involved.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with Marketing, Communications, and assigned businessareas to develop marketing strategies that support organizationaland business development objectives for Corporate Giving, MajorGifts, Mid-Level Giving, Foundations, and Planned Giving. Provide expertise across Marketing and assigned business areasto understand and translate business objectives into marketingobjectives. Serve as the primary point of contact and marketing subjectmatter expert for business development team strategies. Managerelationships and establish rapport with internal teams andexternal marketing agencies. Manage strategic planning, asset creation, and engagement andacquisition efforts to increase awareness of ways to give and getinvolved with WWP within assigned business areas. Oversee marketing support for business development activationsand stewardship efforts. Provide integrated marketing consultation to internalstakeholders on an ongoing basis, demonstrating a strong ability toinfluence, build consensus, and drive action. Manage the development of innovative marketing plans, includingtimelines, budgets, and deliverables. Gather analytics and insights (e.g., webpage traffic, email andsocial media engagement) to inform strategic recommendations forongoing planning and enhancements of integrated marketingplans. Supervise and approve the creative and content developmentprocess for marketing plans, campaigns, and activations (e.g.,messaging, collateral, websites, email communications, multimediaassets). Steward the mission, vision, values, and culture of WWP,providing thought leadership to Marketing & Communicationsteammates and WWP teams. Train, develop, and manage Marketing Specialists supportingassigned business areas and objectives. Attend and actively participate in required training and/ormeetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation,WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training,culture/team based training, or departmental huddles. Other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCERequirements Six years of experience in marketing, advertising,communications, or a related field. Four years of experience in marketing planning, execution, andmeasurement. Three years of nonprofit and/or fundraisingexperience.

Preferences One year of direct staff managementexperience.

EDUCATIONRequirements Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, marketing, orrelated field.

  • $103,488 base salary,subject to a candidate’s combination ofexperience, qualifications, and credentials.

  • $118,272 annual base salary,subject to acandidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, andcredentials.
