Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Seagate Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring consistent representation of The Seagate’s culture and brand across all properties. This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and loyalty through compelling written, digital, and visual communications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset, be a collaborative team player, and demonstrate creativity and innovation in driving change within marketing, social media, and partnerships. This role actively contributes to the long-term strategic vision of our clubs and hotel, integrating purposeful perspectives into daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate, develop, and strategize ideas for in-house event execution. Communicate in-house events and promotions effectively to hotel guests. Manage weekly local and in-house event postings across social media platforms. Ensure local event calendars are current and accurate. Provide monthly staff updates on upcoming events via visual calendars. Liaise weekly with agencies handling digital, PR, and SEO initiatives. Track and report monthly on the performance of marketing initiatives and tactics. Maintain and update websites and MarTech platforms as needed. Create a comprehensive social media plan leveraging in-house and local special events, while integrating the brand’s core pillars (wellness, culture, culinary). Develop strategies for media, journalist, and influencer engagement to enhance hotel awareness and promote key messaging. Attend and actively contribute to hotel strategy meetings. Coordinate and participate in photo and video shoots as required. Manage reservations, site tours, and amenities for press visits. Oversee hotel printing needs, collateral restocking, and client gift management. Uphold and implement The Seagate Clubs brand standards in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Ensure accurate and impactful communication through various channels such as websites, videos, emails, and newsletters. Write and deliver internal newsletters and communications on a monthly basis. Collaborate with the graphic designer to create effective marketing and communication collateral. Meet regularly with the Director of Membership and Communications to outline and achieve monthly/weekly projects, strategies, and brand awareness goals. Manage online membership profiles and directories, distributing updates to all departments as needed. Compile content from departments for website and newsletter publication. Maintain timely updates to club event calendars, menus, and operating hours. Ensure website content is comprehensive, accurate, timely, and visually appealing. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with department heads to verify and update department information. Utilize website design tools to maintain a fresh and engaging website appearance. Create and execute E-communications campaigns for a variety of member events and activities. Provide backup support to the graphic designer as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Social Media & PR Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the General Manager to execute The Seagate’s social media strategy, overseeing content posting and reviewing plans, copy, and imagery. Manage day-to-day social media activities, including reputation management and response to direct messages and comments. Work harmoniously with on-property management teams and third-party partners to create content aligned with the brand’s social media strategy. Coordinate closely with PR agencies to ensure consistent communication and alignment. Assist with reservations and itineraries for influencers and press visits. Maintain an image library from influencer visits and on-property events to promote on social media. Track month-to-month growth on social media platforms and analyze digital analytics on geo-demographics. Utilize graphic design skills to produce compelling story series via social media and other channels to promote property-level initiatives.
Website & Digital Marketing Responsibilities:
Maintain and update website marketing materials and other property updates in collaboration with third-party partners. Write and update website copy as needed for expanding content. Update new experiences, blog posts, calendars, activities, dining menus, spa menus, and other events with consistent accuracy. Promote key offers and update seasonal content/imagery. Support digital marketing activations, including coordination of print material needs and creative asset development. Conduct content fact-checks and regular audits of all Seagate online and printed materials for accuracy.
Email Marketing Responsibilities:
Manage the calendar of email marketing campaigns per property, including production of emails via OpenTable. Craft targeted emails with appropriate copywriting and image selection to effectively engage diverse audiences.
Marketing Partnerships & Asset Management:
Collaborate with the General Manager to ideate and implement creative, on-brand partnerships aimed at elevating property profiles. Coordinate on-site events and activations for each property. Manage digital asset libraries, ensuring all assets are labeled and organized effectively. Plan and oversee property-related photo shoots, both internal and external. Maintain a current repository of brand logos, key messaging, seasonal needs, and contacts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred. Four to five years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably resort/hotel experience. Proficiency in graphic design for social media content creation. Hospitality industry knowledge is preferred. Hands-on experience with website administration and management, including design consistency, content management, and photo gallery oversight. Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher). Experience with digital camera and video technologies. Proficient in InDesign and Adobe Acrobat. Strong multitasking, organizational, and project management skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with CRM software and club system software. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently. Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Regular bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping. Ability to stand for extended periods.
