Marketing Full Job Description Manager, Field Marketing Role Overview:
Smalls Sliders is one of the fastest-growing QSR brands in the country, and we’re just getting started. As we continue expanding at a rapid pace, we’re looking for a hands-on, relationship-driven Field Marketing Manager to help fuel our growth at the local level. In this role, you’ll partner directly with our franchisees and operators to build and execute local marketing plans that drive traffic, build brand awareness, and bring the Smalls experience to life in every community we serve. You’ll also play a key role in supporting new Can openings, national campaign rollouts, and developing smart local strategies that turn first-time guests into loyal fans. This is a highly collaborative role that works across marketing, operations, and franchise teams to help our franchisees win every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary marketing partner for franchisees, helping them build and execute local marketing plans that drive traffic and grow brand awareness. Work directly with each Can to identify business needs, recommend local tactics, and track results to optimize performance. Lead the sell-in, communication, and flawless execution of brand programs, product launches, and promotional campaigns at the local level. Analyze sales, traffic, and guest data to make smart, actionable recommendations that influence sales growth. Help franchisees understand what’s working (and what’s not), using simple reporting and clear business insights to drive smarter local decisions. Ensure each Can delivers the Smalls brand consistently, protecting brand standards while allowing for smart local activations. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Training, and the Field Support team to align marketing efforts with operational readiness. Actively train and support franchisees on local marketing programs, resources, and best practices. Identify opportunities and gaps across Cans to inform future tools, programs, and field support needs. Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Field Training Specialists, providing consistent coaching, feedback, and performance management. Set clear objectives, manage team productivity, and conduct regular performance reviews. Ensure team adherence to brand standards and alignment with corporate training goals.
Role Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ marketing experience, ideally with field marketing experience in multi-unit restaurant, retail, or franchise environments. Proven ability to build and execute local marketing plans that drive traffic, brand awareness, and sales at the store level. Comfortable working directly with franchisees, operators, and cross-functional teams — strong communication and relationship skills are a must. Solid understanding of local media, sponsorships, influencers, and grassroots marketing tactics — from negotiating deals to managing execution. Confident presenting ideas and plans to franchisees, operators, and leadership teams. Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, growth environment. Experience with Canva, Photoshop, and content creation tools (or a desire to learn) — bonus points for creative design skills that help bring marketing plans to life. Ability to travel up to 60% of the time to support franchisees, new market openings, and local market activations.
Equal Opportunity Employer:
Smalls Sliders is committed to equal employment opportunities for all applicants and team members, irrespective of race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, national or ethnic origin, pregnancy, veteran status, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other legally protected characteristic.
