Full Job Description Position Overview:
Westside Market is seeking a versatile and driven Sales and Marketing Manager to lead revenue growth, vendor acquisition, and brand visibility across all store locations. This cross-functional role supports both the sales floor and marketing department by building systems that connect our unique vendor marketplace with new customers and communities. The ideal candidate is strategic, creative, highly organized, and passionate about local business and design.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Support Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales trends across all store locations; identify underperforming areas and implement action plans. Partner with store managers to train and motivate sales staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and product knowledge. Work with vendors to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotions for stronger booth performance. Assist in setting and tracking individual and team sales goals. Marketing & Promotion Develop and execute marketing campaigns that align with company objectives, seasonal trends, and store-specific needs. Oversee content creation and scheduling for all digital platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Business, and email newsletters. Manage local advertising partnerships and explore new marketing channels (influencer marketing, print, SEO, etc.).. Vendor Recruitment & Retention Proactively recruit high-quality vendors, artisans, resellers, and designers to fill booth spaces in current and upcoming locations. Develop relationships with local makers, real estate stagers, designers, wholesalers, and online sellers who may benefit from in-store presence. Assist in onboarding, booth setup support, and vendor education to help maximize success. Collaborate on vendor-exclusive promotions and cross-marketing opportunities. Customer Engagement & Community Outreach Help shape in-store experiences and special events to increase foot traffic and shopper engagement. Track and respond to online reviews, customer inquiries, and social media engagement. Attend trade shows, community markets, and networking events to represent Westside Market’s brand and vendor opportunity.
Qualifications:
7-10 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, or retail management; experience with consignment, home furnishings, or lifestyle retail is a plus. Proven success in driving both foot traffic and digital engagement. Proficient with social media platforms, content scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer), and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut). Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to travel between store locations and work some weekends or events as needed.
Preferred Attributes:
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for supporting small businesses and creatives. Familiarity with local business ecosystems in Atlanta and the Southeast region. Experience with CRM, POS, or digital advertising platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads). Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally with store teams.
