Role Overview:
GasBuddy, a leading mobileapp with over 100M downloads and previously ranked 1 in the traveland leisure category, is seeking an experienced Senior ConsumerLifecycle Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. As we embarkon a period of significant growth, including the launch of our newloyalty program, were looking for a mobile-first marketingstrategist to lead our consumer engagement and lifecycle marketingefforts. This role is ideal for a consumer marketing professionalwith deep mobile app experience who thrives in app-firstenvironments. Youll own end-to-end multi-channel consumer lifecyclemarketing across email, push notifications, and in-app messagingwhile ensuring seamless alignment with web and social channels.
Consumer Lifecycle Marketing & Journey Orchestration:
Own andexecute comprehensive multi-channel consumer lifecycle marketingstrategies across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, andother owned channels Design and implement complex consumersegmentation strategies based on app behavior, engagement patterns,and lifecycle stages Map and optimize multi-channel consumerjourneys from acquisition through retention, ensuring consistentmessaging and experience across all touchpoints Createsophisticated business rules for automated multi-channel messagingorchestration that delivers personalized experiences at scale
Mobile App Marketing Excellence:
Drive consumer engagementstrategies specifically designed for mobile app environments,leveraging in-app messaging, push notifications, andmobile-optimized email campaigns Develop app-first marketingcampaigns that maximize user activation, engagement, and retentionwithin the mobile experience Partner with product teams to optimizein-app marketing touchpoints and conversion funnels
StrategicConsumer Communications:
Deliver strategic lifecycle communicationsthat move consumers through key stages of their journey withGasBuddy Develop personalized messaging frameworks based onconsumer behavior, preferences, and engagement history Ensureconsistent brand voice and experience across email, push, in-appmessaging, web, and social channels
Data-Driven Optimization:
Analyze consumer data and engagement metrics to continuouslyoptimize campaign performance and journey effectiveness Partnerwith analytics teams to enhance customer segmentation models andlifecycle scoring A/B test messaging, timing, and channelstrategies to maximize engagement and conversion rates
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate with Product, Analytics,and Marketing Operations teams to ensure seamless execution ofconsumer marketing initiatives Work closely with all social andother team members to maintain consistent messaging and experienceacross all consumer touchpoints Champion consumer-centric thinkingacross the organization
Required Essential Experience:
5 years ofconsumer marketing experience in mobile app environments withhands-on consumer CRM experience managing email, pushnotifications, and in-app messaging campaigns Proven track recordof owning multi-channel consumer lifecycle marketing in app-firstcompanies (consumer mobile apps, D2C brands, etc.) Demonstratedexperience with complex consumer segmentation and behavioraltargeting strategies Expertise in consumer journey mapping andcreating sophisticated business rules for multi-channel messagingorchestration Experience delivering strategic lifecyclecommunications that drive consumer engagement and retention
Required Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency with mobilemarketing platforms (Salesforce, Braze, Airship, or similar) Strongexperience with multi-touch complex journey mapping software thattranslates to email and mobile messaging marketing platformsHands-on experience with consumer analytics tools and campaignperformance measurement Familiarity with mobile attribution and appanalytics platforms
Required Industry Background:
Background inconsumer-facing mobile applications, D2C brands, or consumertechnology companies Experience with consumer loyalty programs andretention marketing strategies preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related fieldDemonstrated experience in designing and implementing loyaltymarketing programs with strong understanding of acquisition, growthand retention strategies within a CRM framework. Experience withvisualization tools like Power BI or Tableau Background in travel,lifestyle, or consumer utility apps
