Job Description

Job Duties:
  • Direct marketing and promotions for all athletic events
  • Develop thorough social media initiatives to expand the reach of all athletics social handles
  • Manage all promotions and marketing aspects of athletic events including pre-event planning, set-up and event execution and post event review and analysis.
  • Plan and execute in-game activations and event promotions
  • Athletic Department liaison with community, campus marketing and branding department, student organizations, spirit squads, and band
  • Design and place print advertisements promoting attendance at sporting and sponsorship events
  • Supervise staff of both full-time and student employees
  • All other duties as assigned, adheres to NCAA and Southland Conference rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the department, the university, and the university of Louisiana system (ULS).

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills Ability to communicate with diverse audiences in a way they can and will effectively steward and advance the Athletics Department Knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools

Computer Applications:

Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop Knowledge and understanding of marketing, branding, and revenue generation Ability to operate a departmental budget within allocated resources Ability to supervise personnel through previous leadership experience Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA DI rules, practices, policies, philosophy and procedures Willingness to learn and passionate about the customer experience Ability to present a professional demeanor while delivering a high level of internal and external customer service Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet the business needs of the unit Ability to write proposals and scripts and to describe ideas, and / or plans clearly and effectively in written format Ability to perform multiple tasks and responsibilities in an efficient manner
