JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY
The Manager, Business Unit Operations is primarily responsible for: the effective management and oversight of one or multiple departments, analyzing and making recommendations to processes and procedures, and designing and implementing solutions for identified areas of improvement. This role will provide oversight to and perform analysis on business issues, present and make recommendations to maximize operational efficiency, and ensure adherence with compliance standards. Additionally, this role may lead key projects which support strategic imperatives for the function and organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight of department(s) strategy and operational projects to deliver key results and insights.
Leads or performs data collection and analysis, translates information to identify trends and opportunities resulting in data driven decisions for various reports and presentations.
Constructs presentations that focus on bringing forth conclusions, key risks, and other critical information in a clear, concise and decision-impacting manner.
Partners with Information Technology to review and define user requirements and provides testing assistance to support business unit operations.
Develops and/or oversees development of and revisions to department(s) strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating requirements as they relate to broader strategic plans.
Leads and/or participates in projects with cross-functional teams across various departments.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and design (collaborates with key business partners on) innovative solutions.
Interacts with various levels or managers and stakeholders within organization’s business units to align operations with strategy.
May lead strategic cross-functional initiatives across a wide range of teams and collaborators, ensuring alignment throughout, making adjustments as needed, and driving progress to ensure objectives are met.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of a team of associates, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding associates and enforcing policy and procedure; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of working experience and/or training.
5 years of related experience required. Prior management experience providing oversight of a small team preferred.
Demonstrate strong communications proficiency, including across teams and organizations, and have experience utilizing oral and written communication skills along with presentation skills.
Have the ability to multitask with simultaneous projects and tasks, while demonstrating urgency, prioritization and ownership to drive projects to completion.
Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to be goal/execution oriented.
Be able to react seamlessly to changes in priorities and delivery focus.
Highly motivated, self-starter who can lead special projects autonomously and through partnership with cross functional teams.
Strong facilitation, negotiation and mediation skills; ability to drive to consensus.
Strong project management and organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail.
Strong business judgment, influencing skills, leadership, and integrity.

Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions.
Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
