Position Overview Marketing Manager oversees and executes the Louisiana SPCA’s marketing strategies to advance specific fundraising, programs/services and initiatives. The Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping campaigns, creating the campaign collateral, and driving the execution of the campaigns across all platforms. The Marketing Manager’s success leads to: 1. Stronger Revenue and Donor Growth – Effective marketing supports fundraising campaigns, helping the Development team reach or exceed donation goals. 2. Organizational Clarity and Alignment – Programs, events, and initiatives are promoted strategically and cohesively, making them more successful. 3. Data Driven Decision-Making – Actionable data on audience behavior, campaign performance, and ROI informs decisions. 4. Reliable Growth – Marketing becomes a reliable driver of year-over-year growth. Position Summary The Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to attract the resources needed to deliver on the LASPCA’s mission. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and creative storyteller who excels in content development, branding, and campaign planning. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Planning Develop and implement annual marketing plans aligned with organizational goals. Identify target audiences and tailor campaigns to attract new and engage current donors, volunteers, adopters, clinic clients and the broader community. SEO Strategy Brand Management Maintain and evolve the organization’s visual and narrative brand across all materials. Ensure brand consistency and quality in all internal and external materials and campaigns. look for new integrations, design pages, and when needed redesign (whether in-house or outsourced) Campaign Development Plan, execute and manage marketing campaigns that support fundraising efforts (including direct mail), adoptions and clinic and other campaigns as to meet the acquisition and financial goals. Collaborate with internal teams to promote programs and organizational milestones. Content Creation Oversee creation of compelling content, including stories, videos, blog posts, and graphics that showcase our impact. Work with photographers, videographers and outside vendors to produce high quality marketing materials. Cross-Department Collaboration Partner with development, volunteer, and program teams to align marketing materials with department needs. Support the creation of print and digital collateral, including brochures, flyers, reports, and newsletters. Budget Management and Performance Tracking Manage the approved marketing budget, ensuring responsible and effective use of resources. Track expenditures and provide regular budget updates to leadership. Establish and monitor key marketing metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and inform strategy. Prepare regular reports on marketing outcomes, trends, and return on investment.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience BA/BS Degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or related field with 3+ yrs experience in managing a team of employees 1-3 years of experience in non-profit industry Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Attention to detail and accuracy with demonstrated ability to communicate key messages clearly and concisely to target audiences. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills working across multiple departments and a range of external partners. General understanding of systemic economic and social issues that affect underserved populations and commitment to serve the community. Ability to make strategic decisions backed by performed data analysis. Ability to work with a high level of independence and take initiative to solve problems, craft solutions, and build more efficient systems. Demonstrate emotional intelligence and resolve conflicts for external audience. Must provide a portfolio, electronically preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; push and pull heavy objects; bend, twist, reach; perform strenuous physical activities including frequent walking and running, standing, bending, and stooping. Should not be allergic to animals or nuts; must be able to work around all animals and nut products. Must be able to work with industrial strength cleaners and disinfectants.
