We are a third space:

not home, not work — a community-centered venue where immersive art, cutting-edge technology, and live performance come together. Our mission is to inspire through art, music, and community. We are looking for a Marketing Manager who can grow our audience, deepen community relationships, and bring the vision of Third Room to life through powerful storytelling, strategic partnerships, and strong marketing execution. Position Summary The Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and executing Third Room’s marketing strategy across all platforms. This includes social media, digital campaigns, community outreach, artist collaboration, and local street promotion. The right candidate will be both a strategist and a doer and is someone who can take ownership of our marketing vision and translate it into action that builds awareness, drives attendance, connects authentically with Asheville’s vibrant creative community. The right candidate will also be someone who can connect and capture tourists visiting our mountain town. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive ticket sales, event attendance, gallery foot traffic, and brand visibility. Manage and track the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively. Align all marketing efforts with Third Room’s mission and core values. Digital & Social Media Manage, and optimize content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook). Work directly with our videographers and photographers to gather and market the Third Room experience Oversee email marketing campaigns and maintain an updated contact database. Experience with HIVE is a plus. Analyze digital performance metrics and adjust tactics accordingly. Street Team & Local Outreach Recruit, train, and manage a local street team to distribute flyers, posters, and materials. Maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community groups, and cultural institutions. Organize community-based activations and attend local events to raise awareness of Third Room. Artist Collaboration Coordinate with exhibiting artists and performers to leverage their networks for cross-promotion. Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all artist-driven campaigns. Provide marketing support and assets for collaborators and partners. Press & Media Relations Draft and distribute press releases to local media outlets. Maintain press lists and secure media coverage for exhibitions and performances. Who You Are A creative and strategic thinker with strong organizational skills. A natural communicator who thrives on building relationships. Passionate about the arts, music, and community engagement. Comfortable balancing high-level planning with on-the-ground execution. A data oriented individual who utilizes KPIs to measure for success or failure A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit Qualifications 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the arts, music, live events, or nonprofit space. Proven ability to manage marketing campaigns from concept to completion. Experience leading a team or managing part-time workers (e.g., street teams, interns). Familiarity with digital tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Canva, Google Analytics, TIXR, Dice, or Eventbrite). Strong writing and editing skills. Understanding of Asheville’s local culture and creative community is a plus.
