Marketing Technology Director 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 3700 Arco Corporate Dr Ste 125, Charlotte, NC 28273 Director, Marketing Technology The Director of Marketing Technology is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of marketing technology platforms to drive digital performance across websites, lead generation, SEO, and customer experience. This role collaborates cross-functionally across marketing, IT, CX, and other business units to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performing digital infrastructure. This role is four days on-site at our Charlotte office, remote work Friday. Responsibilities Strategy, Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with the Senior Director of Digital to develop and execute technology strategies across websites, lead generation, and other digital channels & technologies to maximize marketing-driven revenue. Collaborate cross-functionally with CX, Product, and IT teams to evaluate, implement, and maintain key marketing technologies such as CRM and CDP platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and seamless data integration. Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to enable strong performance across paid media channels by optimizing website conversion paths, landing pages, call tracking, and lead generation infrastructure. Collaborate with General Managers (GMs) at individual branches to align digital marketing strategies with local business objectives and revenue goals. Collaborate with the digital media team, product and CRM manager, and Customer Booking Center Lead to deliver Martech solutions that support customer journey optimization at every lifecycle stage. Ensure transparent communication across marketing, branch teams, leadership, and other departments by sharing project plans, timelines, and milestones—clearly outlining business impact, coordinating cross-functional tasks, and engaging stakeholders for feedback. Website & Martech Infrastructure Manage a portfolio of websites and Martech tools to ensure accurate digital presence and alignment with best practices. Responsible for ensuring websites and marketing technologies are properly set up and optimized to support key digital initiatives including paid search, SEO, affiliate marketing, retargeting, and customer experience. Ensure websites and digital listings are optimized for evolving AI-powered search experiences, including structured data, content quality, and technical enhancements to maximize visibility in AI-generated search results. Maintain and evolve the Martech stack to support website UX/UI, lead tracking (calls, chat, online booking), pricing tools, digital diagnostics, and more. Lead coordination with IT to successfully transition websites and Martech platforms (e.g., call tracking) from agency partners to in-house ownership, ensuring continuity, data integrity, and operational efficiency. Manage server-side tagging infrastructure and coordinate DNS configurations. Establish and maintain best practices and scalable processes for website management, SEO/Local SEO, digital listings, tagging/tracking, and performance reporting. Design scalable Martech systems that support future business growth, acquisition onboarding, and multi-brand management. Maintain up-to-date documentation available to the marketing team for all marketing technologies, systems architecture, and standard operating procedures to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing. Own the adoption and utilization of martech tools (i.e. Brightlocal, SEM Rush, Yext, and others) ensuring platforms are used effectively and consistently, while demonstrating their value and ROI to stakeholders to justify continued investment. Foster a test-and-learn culture across teams, developing testing roadmaps to improve digital performance and conversion rates. Channel Ownership & Optimization Directly responsible for the performance of SEO, Local SEO (GEO), websites (including UX/UI, blogs, tracking), and digital listings. Analyze performance KPIs across SEO, websites, and listings to extract insights and make data-driven decisions. Provide regular and ad hoc reporting with actionable insights to stakeholders. Compliance & Vendor Management Own digital compliance by ensuring adherence to privacy laws, data protection regulations, and digital best practices—including oversight of privacy policies, cookie consent, customer data handling, and digital opt-in/opt-out processes. Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendor partners, staying updated on emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for integration across business segments. Oversee and manage contractors to ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations, are completed on time, and stay within budget. Innovation & Industry Awareness Stay informed about industry trends, platform updates, and emerging digital strategies. Act as a thought leader within the team to champion innovation and operational excellence across business units. Requirements 7-15 years of experience managing website, MarTech and lead generation optimization, with a track record of achieving strong digital conversion and sales growth. Proficiency in managing websites, SEO/GEO, lead generation, digital listings, CX/UI, and other Martech (i.e.

CRM & CDP

) to drive optimization through every customer stage. Experience working in portfolio roll-up or local field operations/marketing environments, understanding the diverse needs of different business segments. Own SEO/GEO strategy to ensure alignment between paid search and organic search efforts, providing SEO insights for paid campaigns. Possess solid understanding of

principles and how they complement paid media strategies to drive organic growth alongside paid efforts. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use messy and often unstructured data for analysis and modeling. Comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment and receptive to feedback. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. Proven experience in budget creation and management, with a knack for prioritizing projects effectively.
