Description:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for owning and managing ongoing marketing-related projects, writing content, creating various internal communications, updating data in marketing collateral, assisting with event and campaign development, and analyzing the effectiveness of each campaign and other responsibilities. The Marketing Manager has opportunities to share and implement new ideas and work with individuals across the organization. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong writer and communicator who can distill complex concepts into marketing materials and manage projects from inception through completion. This individual must be equally comfortable with collaboration and independent work and should be adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines. The qualified candidate must also be a team player who is highly organized, detail oriented and professional.
Essential Functions:
Maintains agency’s content calendar. Directs and implements all internal/external Families in Transition marketing strategies, both digital and print, including social media, website, email, branded collateral, and media relations, while utilizing feedback and analytics to drive strategy and increase engagement. Works closely with program directors and executive team members to develop and plan campaigns to promote and support programs, fundraising initiatives and events, and review branded content across all programs for consistency and brand identity compliance. Production and delivery of all digital and print marketing materials including but not limited to, brand, content, email, event, inbound, radio, paid, and organic social media, and web. Assets may include brochures, landing pages, advertisements, agency e- newsletters, annual reports, signage, event support materials, website content, etc. Actively participate in the creation, scheduling, and publishing of content across social media platforms. Ensure all content is on- brand, is compliant and optimized for maximum reach and engagement. Engage with online communities across social media platforms. Establish and maintain a process for responding to comments, messages and inquiries. Build and execute email marketing campaigns and marketing automation engagements in Classy, Pardot and GivePulse to support fundraising and volunteer development. Prepares metrics reports to help evaluate the effectiveness of communications and inform communication decisions. Initial liaison for all media inquiries. Collaborate with key staff on media advisory and press releases. Coordinates media relations by directing to the appropriate staff person. Develops and maintains a list of local media contacts Primary point of contact with marketing vendors, as needed. Create and foster relationships with businesses, supporters, and community groups. Take and edit photographs and videos for use in print and online Participate in in-service training, as applicable. Perform other duties assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses): Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline. 2-3 years experience in marketing, content generation, design, email, and social media in a non-profit ormid-size corporate setting with multiple target audiences preferred. Strong branding and marketing skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, fluency in Adobe InDesign a must. Professional experience with Pardot is a plus (or other automation HubSpot, Marketo, Eloqua). Able to write, proofread and edit with proficiency and accuracy. Strong client service and ability to work well with a diverse group of internal customers. Experience setting up and managing a WordPress site. Working knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Strong computer, time management, and organizational skills. Understanding of digital marketing tactics (paid media, email marketing, social media, web experiences) Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
A portfolio that demonstrates strength in visual design, storytelling, and experience designing and writing for digital and/or print marketing campaigns.
