Summary The Admissions & Marketing Director is responsible for all external marketing initiatives including implementation of a diverse marketing plan that includes both internal and external community marketing event initiatives. The marketing plan ensures and contributes to campus growth and supports occupancy targets for the campus as well as ensuring strong customer, referrer satisfaction, payer relations and satisfaction and maximization of payer mix and census goals campus-wide. The Admissions & Marketing Director ensures that the inquiry and admissions process into the community is one that lends to a positive public image and resident satisfaction. This position is directly responsible for admissions into the St. Louise Manor facility while also overseeing the skilled nursing and short stay rehab admission process and all aspects of the Admissions Department. Responsibilities Meet census goals by working with the center’s interdisciplinary team to coordinate customer flow into and through the community. Manage bed availability and maximize census mix. May serve as liaison between UMH and hospital personnel, maintaining a visitation and marketing schedule to area hospitals as well as other identified referral opportunities. May conduct on-site evaluations as necessary and serve as a first point of contact for prospective residents and families visiting at bed-side in the hospitals or community setting. Oversee Admissions Coordinator and ensure prompt response from the department to all admission inquiries and referrals via fax, phone, hospital liaison, and e-discharge systems. Assess inquiries when necessary and respond to referrers within 30 minutes. Obtain necessary clinical and financial information to determine admission potential. Oversee verification of insurance coverage with assistance of business office. Aggressively seeks out potential clients and facilitate referrals into ECM and St. Louise Manor. Assist with development of a strategic marketing plan identifying opportunities for growth. Identify community-based marketing opportunities and attends as necessary (e.g. vendor fairs, health fairs, speaking engagements, hosts on-site marketing events as appropriate, MD office visits, senior centers). Complete pre-admission assessment accurately either personally or telephonically to gather clinical and financial information and identify optimal level of care. Facilitates admission decision and ensures positive admission experience for resident, family and employees. Manage admission data entry into EMR and CRM with diligent lead tracking and follow through. Conducts follow-up on all inquiries which have not yet been converted to admissions. Maintains statistics indicating customer flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges. Oversee process for tracking inquiries/referrals daily, weekly, and monthly and analyzing trends using reports and tools to target additional business. Work to initiate, nurture and maintain contacts with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners as valued customers to maximize referrals and facilitate admissions. Provides information to referral sources of residents progress as appropriate. Work with Administrator to ensure customer satisfaction. Communicate key strategies, progress and market related issues promptly to Administrator, ED, and VP of Sales & Marketing. Participate in off-hours and weekend admissions back-up systems. Manages the Admissions Coordinator and provide coaching/training as needed to ensure that they have the support needed to be successful. Oversee the admissions process for prospective residents, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Requirements Proven experience in sales or marketing, preferably in healthcare or senior living sectors. Solid supervisory experience to include providing overall direction and coordination of Admissions Coordinator. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Develop reports, business correspondences and procedure manuals. Experience with presenting information and responding to questions professionally from groups of residents, family members or staff. Valid Driver’s License. Desired Experience Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. RN/LPN or clinical experience a plus, but not required for the role. Minimum of 3 years sales/admissions experience. Experience in long term care, health care services or senior living preferred. Excellent skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, working with databases and internet research.

$60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
