In this role, you’ll be instrumental in executing research studies, analyzing data, and contributing to the insights that inform our brand and marketing strategies. About the
Role:
The Brand Insights team is dedicated to enabling improved decision making through the systematic collection and analysis of data that measure our brand’s performance and perception, including tracking brand awareness, sentiment, behavioral themes, behavioral motivational drivers, marketing performance and digital presence. The collection and analysis of this data will help Babbel make data-driven decisions about marketing strategy, product development and customer experience. This role is perfect for someone who lives at the intersection of project management, data analytics, and social science research, and who thrives in fast-paced environments where every detail matters. If you have a proven track record of effectively collaborating with stakeholders to drive actionable insights, have a strong analytical background, an ability to analyze complex datasets and have worked with global brands, this role is for you. The role reports into the Head of Insights and Analytics. This position is located in NYC and requires a minimum of 3 days/week in office.
You will:
Lead Brand Performance Tracking and Development:
Oversee the development and execution of brand health tracking studies, ensuring robust methodologies and insightful reporting on key brand metrics (awareness, perception, consideration, loyalty).
Research Execution:
Manage the day-to-day execution of brand health tracking studies and ad-hoc research projects focused on marketing effectiveness (e.g., creative testing, campaign impact, audience understanding). This includes survey programming, data collection oversight, and quality control.
Strategic Insights & Storytelling:
Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations for marketing, product, and leadership teams. Develop compelling presentations and reports that articulate complex findings simply.
Project Coordination:
Manage multiple mixed-methods research initiatives from kickoff to action planning — setting timelines, allocating resources, and keeping our Insights reports delivered on time
Strategic Alignment:
Partner with the Head of Insights and Analytics to execute a comprehensive brand insights strategy that aligns with business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, and other departments to meet their motivational drivers, decisioning points and actionable insights needs.
Data Storytelling & Communication:
Effectively communicate complex data insights to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, through compelling presentations, reports, and visualizations.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with external research agencies and vendors, ensuring quality deliverables, budget adherence, and effective project execution.
Mentorship & Development:
Mentor junior insights professionals, fostering a culture of curiosity and rigorous analytical thinking within the team.
You have:
Experience with mixed-methods research — survey questionnaire design, data analysis, and qualitative interviewing; familiarity with community-based participatory research (CBPR) and mixed method design.
Proven expertise in designing and executing a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies (e.g., brand tracking, segmentation, creative testing, ad hoc surveys, focus groups, IDIs, ethnographies).
Experience and/or knowledge in social sciences or adjacent a plus (i.e.: Marketing Research, User Experience Research, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, etc.).
Proficient in Qualtrics is a must, comfortable using tools such as SurveyMonkey, Tableau or Looker is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to translate data into compelling narratives.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and balance quick-turn deliverables with long-term strategy.
Excellent organizational habits, research documentation and attention to detail.
Collaborative spirit and a solutions-oriented mindset — especially across disciplines and stakeholders.
6+ years of experience in developing, launching and analyzing brand research.
Experience managing research vendors and budgets.

Salary Information:
In New York City, the reasonable annualized full-time salary for this role is $100,000 – $120,000 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level Babbel is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
