Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:

Maximize efficiency of departments supervised as evidenced by call volume, conversion rates, and referral base Oversee state wide marketing/community relations team and needs assessment department in conjunction with department supervisor. Maintains monthly reporting documentation and other administrative documentation associated with calls and services rendered. Establishes and maintains effective internal and external working relationships. Carries out the personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management and employee relations functions with marketing/community relations and needs assessment. Serves as the fiscal manager for appropriate departments. Supports the organization’s mission, goals and objectives. Assists in development and implementation of the department’s policies and procedures, ensuring the overall ongoing quality of the services provided. Trains other appropriate organization staff in referral communications and needs assessment procedures, establishes and maintains an effective admissions back-up system. Participates in professional training and development efforts. Supports the organization’s safety and security programs. Participates in activities which enhance the professional growth and development. Complies with facility safety, infection control and security programs. Participates in mandatory orientation and training activities. Other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies :

Knowledge of the behavioral health field including levels of care; types of services; public and private healthcare systems and funding structures; contracting processes; managed care and commercial insurance systems; community needs assessment; and program development. Knowledge of laws relating to behavioral health treatment. Understanding and ability to educate staff in customer relations and referral communications throughout the company. Knowledge of CARF regulations. Excellent reading, communication skills, Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to meet deadlines

Education, Experience:

3-5 years management experience in the D&A or Mental Health field, preferably in a development position. Associates in relevant field required. Bachelors or Masters, preferred. Basic data entry skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to manage time effectively. Sound organizational skills
