What You Will Do onX is seeking a Sr. Web Marketing Manager to leadthe strategic direction and optimization of our digital presenceacross onxmaps.com and associated web properties(adventureprojects.net, outdoorproject.com, toprut.com, andpotential future integrations). This role demands aforward-thinking leader who can balance innovation with data-drivendecision-making, advocating for a premium brand experience whileoptimizing for performance and achieving key business goals.
Combining strategic oversight, analytical insight, projectmanagement excellence, and cross-functional leadership andcollaboration, the Sr. Web Marketing Manager will drive userengagement, enhance user experience, and position onX as a leaderin the digital outdoor space. This role reports to the Sr. Directorof Growth Marketing. As an onX Public Relations (PR) Manager, youressential job duties and responsibilities will look like: WebStrategy & Roadmap Define and execute a comprehensive web strategyaligned with business goals (traffic, conversion, brandengagement). Manage the website roadmap, prioritizing projectsbased on impact, resources, and company objectives. Collaboratewith cross-functional teams to align website initiatives withproduct launches, campaigns, and strategic priorities. Conductregular audits to identify areas for optimization and propose newfeatures (e.g., customer portal, learning centers). Performance &Analytics Set and track website performance KPIs using tools likeGoogle Analytics & Looker. Generate actionable insights from webdata to optimize user journeys and conversion rates. Build andmanage dashboards & reporting tools to provide visibility intowebsite health and effectiveness. User Experience (UX) & ContentStrategy Partner with Design, Content, and Creative teams to createintuitive, user-centric web experiences. Optimize site structure,navigation, and merchandising to improve engagement and ease ofuse. Ensure website content is brand-aligned, engaging, andstrategically structured to drive conversions. Conversion RateOptimization (CRO) Lead CRO strategy to improve key funnel stagesand eliminate conversion bottlenecks. Implement A/B testing andexperimentation using platforms like Optimizely & VWO. Balanceconversion goals with brand integrity, ensuring a seamless andeffective user experience. SEO & Organic Growth Collaborate withthe SEO Manager and Web Engineers to optimize site architecture andcontent for organic visibility. Stay informed on industry updates &algorithm changes, adjusting strategies accordingly. ProjectManagement & Execution Oversee multiple website projects, managingtimelines, quality, and stakeholder alignment. Utilize Agilemethodologies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) toenhance efficiency. Partner with technical teams to ensure seamlessexecution and integration of new tools & AI-driven efficiencies.
Stakeholder Alignment & Leadership Act as the primary point ofcontact for website strategy, aligning cross-functional teams anddriving collaboration. Present insights and strategicrecommendations to leadership teams, influencing decision-making.
What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business,Communications, or equivalent experience. 8 years of experience inweb marketing, digital strategy, or website management, with aproven track record of driving measurable growth, engagement, andconversion. Expertise in managing multi-site ecosystems, balancingbrand awareness, lead generation, and retention goals. Stronganalytical skills with proficiency in website performanceanalytics, CRO, A/B testing, and tools like Google Analytics,Looker, VWO, or Optimizely. Deep understanding of SEO bestpractices and their impact on organic growth. Experiencecollaborating cross-functionally with UX designers, developers, andcontent strategists to create seamless, user-centric experiences.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, sprint planning, andKPI-driven optimization. Ability to interpret data (qualitative andquantitative) to identify user pain points, optimize sitestructure, and enhance customer journeys. Hands-on experience withCMS platforms and personalization engines. Knowledge of webcompliance requirements, including privacy, security, andaccessibility. Proven leadership in cross-functional teams,aligning stakeholders, managing competing priorities, andcommunicating insights and strategy to senior leadership acrossMarketing, Product, SEO, Engineering, and Creative teams. Permanent US work authorization is a condition of employment withonX. Ability to travel (up to) quarterly for multiple days to acorporate office or other onX strategic location, such as aBasecamp. Background in outdoor,subscription-based consumer product, or SaaS industries is a plus.

onX’sBasecamps are established virtual workforce communities where asizable number of distributed team members group for work,volunteering, socializing, and adventure. Our current Basecamps arelocated within a 90-mile radius of the following: Austin, TX;Denver, CO; Kalispell, MT; Minneapolis, MN; Portland, OR; Salt LakeCity, UT; and Seattle, WA.
Connection Hubs:
onX’s Connection Hublocations are smaller, emerging communities of distributed teammembers. Our current Connection Hubs are located within a 60-mileradius of the following: Boise, ID; Charleston, SC; Charlotte, NC;Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Richmond, VA; Spokane, WA; theBay Area of California, and Vermont. How You’ll Be Compensated onXis committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably fortheir contributions. For this position, applicants can expect tomake between $113,000 to $141,000 upon hire. The pay range willvary based on experience, skills, certifications, and educationamong other factors as required in the job description. Inaddition, full-time onX employees are eligible for a grant ofcommon share options with a vesting schedule and a potential annualbonus of 10% based on company performance.
