JOB SUMMARY
Performs routine networking visits to physicians, hospital discharge planners, case managers and other healthcare referral sources to present center information, gather resident referrals, and evaluate potential resident admissions that contribute to the center’s overall revenue growth.
Demonstrates leadership skills by planning and instituting new and innovative programs in harmony with the overall facility philosophies.
Screens all prospective admissions to determine that the delivery of appropriate care will be provided in the long term care setting.
Assesses cost-of-care of prospective admissions appropriate to the level of care as determined by the admitting physician.
Provides appropriate forms necessary to request adequate medical information to make decisions regarding admissions.
Effectively understands themunity, the levels of care we service, and programs offered.
Appropriately rmends assessment and gathers as much information as possible.
Assists in identifying areas for cost containment while maintaining quality.
Stays abreast of changes in the outsidemunity andpetition.
Maintains open lines ofmunications with the fiscal intermediary and state agencies and works with central office to resolve billing concerns.
Receives and processes prospective resident inquiries and maintains inquiry records as well as interviews residents and/or resident family members during admission application process.
Explains costs of care involved in appropriate levels-of-care as determined or required by the admitting physician, presents appropriate forms necessary to request adequate medical and social information, which will be returned for review.
Serves as liaison between families and hospital discharge planners, social service agencies, and physicians.
When appropriate bed is available and all records are in order,municates resident admitting schedule according to Facility admissions policy, notifies the family of admission approval, the room number and resident expected time of arrival and notifies all appropriate Facility departments of pending admission.
Greets resident and family at the door upon admission. Assists family and resident to settle into room as needed.
Updates Admissions/Move out reports as directed and participates in the Monday Sales Update call. Maintains list ofmunity resources.
Receives and reviews change-of-room requests. Notifies appropriate departments of room changes. Works closely with the Area Directors, Director of Resident Care Services, and Administrator for input regarding admissions and room changes.
Assists with annual staff in-service.
Attends and participates in Quality Assurance meetings.

Participates in all fire drills by reporting to the Nurses’ Station for instruction.
Performs specific chart audits as assigned.
Maintains current records ofpetitor census, occupancy, private rates and service offerings. Participates in annual census and Operating Budget planning as requested.
Participates in census development and marketing meetings, conference calls and planning meetings as scheduled.
Attends Monthly Activity Director Meetings.
Plans posts Monthly.
Works diligently to maintain census goals and budget goals as it relates to census numbers.
Enters resident information into Point Click Care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid Driver’s License in the state if employment.
Demonstrated success in external marketing to physicians, discharge planners and other healthcare referral sources preferred.
Must be willing to work and cooperate with other employees.
Must be able to problem solve and work under pressure.
Knowledgeable about local, state and federal regulations as relates to admissions, prospective payment and resident care.
