Overview:

As a successful Director of Marketing, your primary responsibilities are to create, implement and execute the club’s brand identity and marketing strategies, and be a guiding voice in guiding the staff’s overall creative and content brainstorm. This position all serves as the lead in all external communications, both organic and paid. Management and Individual Contributor Job Duties Oversee the club’s overall content, media and branding strategy and execution Oversee Club’s digital presence, including creation of new content, growth of platform followership, and creativity in staying on the forefront of new social media platforms. Collaborate on all design elements for use in social media, in-stadium digital signage, advertising/marketing pieces, merchandise, and other. Direct and manage all efforts related to fan engagement year-round, and oversee the overall gameday fan experience Assist in the development of Promotional nights, theme nights and other events. Work with sponsorship sales to ensure all sponsor content and assets are delivered Work with ticketing department to drive ticket sales through marketing strategies Develop promotional partnerships with media outlets and other local vendors to promote RiverDogs games Analyze and interpret data from campaigns to gauge effectiveness Assist in Digital Marketing strategies and campaign development Assist general manager in overseeing media buying strategy, execution, and relationships. Manage grassroots/trade marketing plan. Manage gameday staff and interns related to marketing department Manage and supervise department staff to ensure deadlines and projects are completed Create and implement standards for brand identity. Act as a clearinghouse for all marketing pieces across all departments. Participate in the club’s promotional brainstorm and lead the discussion in how promotional themes will be promoted and marketed. Work closely with all departments to incorporate into overall marketing strategy – special events, food/beverage, merchandise, community relations, etc. Steward department of 3-4 other full-time staff members Work game and event nights to oversee seamless execution of marketing plan

Qualifications:

College degree Experience in managing owned-and-operated digital assets (email database, web site, social media accounts) Experience in media buying, trades and advertising placement, on both traditional and digital advertising platforms Some sales experience, a plus Design sense, and familiarity with Adobe suite of products (including Photoshop and Illustrator) Polished communication skills are a must Exceptional customer service skills required Ability and willingness to exercise discretion and autonomous judgment The information provided in this job description is designed to provide the general nature and level of work performed by team members within the job classification.
