The Director of Marketing will be responsible for managing themarketing strategy for the resort as a whole, including individualbusiness segments and implementing marketing and advertisingcampaigns. This position will report directly to the ManagingDirector/General Manager. This highly-visible role helps nurture collaboration and alignmentbetween key internal and external hotel stakeholder groups bydeveloping and executing unified marketing strategies to buildproperty and venue awareness and generate room revenue and marketshare. This position is vital in developing content for variousmediums (print, digital, social, and more), managing reputation andsocial channels, and creating/supporting marketing, PR, media, andsales messaging while enhancing brand equity and community stature.

DIRECT REPORTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a team of four to execute strategies: Marketing Manager,Marketing Coordinator, Graphic Designer, and SocialCoordinator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development and delivery of the annual marketing andcommunications plan and budget aligned with the Resort’s strategicpriorities and revenue goals. Develop and oversee the execution of marketing strategies thatalign with property goals and positioning to achieve toplinerevenue. Partner with the property revenue team to make informeddecisions and maximize revenue and room night goals. Partner with the Resort team leaders to drive marketingstrategies for Food & Beverage, Golf, Spa, Retail, Recreation,Weddings/Catering, Group Sales, and Tennis. Prepare and manage the marketing expense budget’s monthlyforecasting and analyze the marketing efforts’ overalleffectiveness. Lead weekly and monthly meetings with department heads acrossproperty and agency teams. Manage and implement tactical promotions and offers to driveincremental revenue. Oversee the management of all internal and externalcommunications through a digital presence, including but notlimited to property website, third-party channels, and socialmedia, while maintaining brand integrity. Orchestrate all property photography and video shoots. Arrangeshot lists/schedules, property access, talent, etc. Support &maintain an extensive property photography library. Responsible for workflow process improvements to optimizeefficiency and effectiveness across the Hyatt.com and Wilddunes.comvanity site functions. Develop and implement marketing and public relations strategiesto promote revenue growth among key targeted segments and supportthe Resort’s brand positioning and image. Develop and manage all CRM touchpoints, including outboundemail marketing, guest journey, retention strategies, and newcustomer acquisition initiatives. Manage the web and social media infrastructure and keep contentfresh and engaging while advancing functionality and design. Prepare monthly marketing reports for ownership. Plan and manage print and digital advertising opportunities,both paid and unpaid. Manage the Resort’s reputation in the local community via PRand local community outreach, local partners, and promotionalpartnership opportunities. Develop and set the annual digital marketing plan, overarchingpartnership, and marketing strategies to maximize hotel revenueproduction and align with hotel positioning. Manage the OTA strategy with Revenue Management and FieldMarketing through monthly market reviews and mediainvestments. Manage the strategy and agency partnership relationships withthe Resort’s Public Relations and Digital Agency. Track campaign benchmarks and KPIs to ensure success andoptimize campaigns as needed Stay on top of industry trends to ensure properties are at thecutting edge of hospitality services.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree (associate’s degree considered) in Marketing,Communication, Business, or a related field, or the same inexperience.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 7 years of hotel marketing experience or industryexperience; OR, an equivalent combination of education and workexperience.
