This position plays a pivotal leadership role in developing, implementing, and evaluating the university’s comprehensive external marketing strategies. The Associate Director of University Marketing collaborates closely with the Director of University Marketing and the Associate Vice President for University Marketing and Communication to drive brand awareness, enhance reputation, and achieve strategic enrollment and engagement goals. Salary range:
$46,655.00 (minimum) – $70,000.00 (maximum). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May be required to work nights and weekends and could require limited travel. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to: Lead the development and implementation of local, regional, and national marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and attract target audiences. Prepare and present regular reports to division leadership, highlighting key metrics and recommendations. Oversees the promotion and marketing of identified university events and activities, targeting external audiences, fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors for the successful execution of marketing plans and strategies. Maintain a centralized repository of all marketing plans and assets, including ad placements, sponsorships, and promotional materials. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and accountable work environment. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of experience related to marketing, communication, media buying, or a related field. Proven leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least three (3) years of experience in higher education and experience with advertising and media planning, placement, and purchasing. Expertise in social media, digital marketing, marketing analytics, social listening software, market research, and search ads.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to listen well and demonstrate sensitivity and respect for individual needs. Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to working as part of a university-wide community. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills required. Exceptional project and time management skills required, with a proactive approach to project communication, planning, and completion. Must work well in a team environment.
