The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, designing, coordinating, and implementing the marketing and communication activities of the Renasant Convention Center and the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts and all events occurring therein (downtown Memphis, TN). The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a creative eye for detail, and the ability to think on their feet.

Responsibilities:

Serve as point of contact and marketing liaison for meetings, conferences, and special events Manage the MCCC art committee including discovery calls for interested artists, tours, artist selection, exhibit curation, installation of new exhibits, cleaning of current and past exhibits and removals of outgoing exhibits Build relationships with legacy TV and radio media to get a steady stream of events and stories published Manage social media accounts, including taking photos and videos, editing content, engaging and growing followers through collaborations with other businesses Build relationships with Memphis Tourism, vendor, and client marketing, digital, social media and advertising teams Manage all marketing promotions for Cannon Center including email blasts, social media posts, website updates, media appearances, flyer distribution, LED billboards and in house signage Create and manage content and distribution of monthly newsletters for the Convention Center and the Cannon Center Maintain accessibility with clients, executive management team, and event staff through use of cell phone and email communication, potentially outside of office hours or event schedule days Create, edit and manage content and technical problems for digital screens and building signage Sell advertising on billboards Sell advertising for digital ads Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions, investigate, analyze, and resolve operational problems and complaints related to marketing and communication efforts
