Exempt Arlington is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Content & Creative Lead to oversee content development, brand consistency, and visual storytelling across our portfolio. This role plays a critical part in shaping Arlington’s voice and visual identity—supporting everything from internal communications and onboarding materials to digital campaigns and new business collateral. You’ll work cross-functionally with Marketing, HR, Operations, and Development teams, as well as external vendors, to build compelling assets that inform, engage, and inspire. From pitchbooks and presentations to employee newsletters and branded toolkits, this role ensures every piece of content aligns with our messaging standards and brand values. This is a hands-on role for someone who can think strategically, create visually, and deliver consistently high-quality content that drives brand equity and business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development & Brand Messaging Create and manage internal/external messaging for marketing campaigns, employee communications, FAQs, and knowledge base resources Develop messaging toolkits for major initiatives and ensure consistency in tone, formatting, and voice Collaborate with department leads to align content strategy with business goals Creative Design & Visual Execution Lead creation of visual content including pitchbooks, presentations, digital graphics, and templates Ensure creative consistency across all branded assets in alignment with Arlington’s visual identity standards Partner with external vendors and freelancers to ensure quality and brand alignment Branded Training & Onboarding Support Standardize internal training materials and onboarding templates using approved brand formats Audit training content for tone and clarity and manage a centralized content style guide New Business Support & Presentation Materials Design pitch decks and creative assets that communicate Arlington’s value proposition to potential partners Contribute branded content for new development launches and third-party management initiatives Knowledge Management & Platform Oversight Support content systems such as SharePoint and Arlington University to ensure up-to-date, accessible materials Track content requests and updates using tools like Freshdesk, ensuring timely response and escalation when needed Performance Monitoring Monitor engagement with internal channels such as newsletters, pitchbooks, and intranet content to refine strategy Use performance data to improve reach, clarity, and consistency of messaging # MKT2025 Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field required 5-7 years of experience in content creation, brand communications, or marketing design Experience in real estate, property management, or multi-site business environments preferred Skills & Competencies Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail and clarity Strong ability to collaborate across departments and translate ideas into compelling content Skilled in managing multiple projects and balancing short-turnaround requests with strategic planning Technical Proficiency Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Word) Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Experience with SharePoint, LMS platforms, and project management tools preferred Familiarity with Freshdesk and video or internal comms tools (e.g., podcasting or intranet software) a plus
Work Environment:
This position operates in a hybrid environment , with Birmingham, AL as the preferred location. However, fully remote arrangements will be considered for highly qualified candidates . The role involves regular collaboration with internal teams and vendors and may require occasional travel for meetings or content production.
Physical and Visual Activities:
The role involves extended periods of computer work and visual focus to create and review digital and print materials. Strong attention to color, layout, and formatting is required to ensure brand consistency and accessibility compliance. Light lifting (up to 15 pounds) may be necessary.
