Collaborate with seasoned professionals, develop your strategic skills, and make a tangible impact on public transportation in Connecticut. Examples of Duties Learn and assist with all functions of digital marketing, including email marketing, website development, and more. Support daily management, posting, monitoring, and driving the growth of CT transit social media channels, including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Research industry trends and competitor analysis to inform social media strategies. Assist in the maintenance and editing of news stories and blogs. Maintain and update the organization’s website on request. Maintain and update the email database and customer data, ensuring accuracy and completeness for effective marketing campaigns. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Works cooperatively with all levels of personnel. Attends in-service training, seminars or other opportunities for professional development as made available by CT transit , and/or as assigned by Management. Remain flexible to provide support on nights, weekends, holidays & during emergencies to support our 24/7/365 operation. May be subject to night and/or weekend work based on the organization’s business needs. Travel and provide support to other departments and divisions with HR, Finance and other administrative technology related functions as assigned. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree with major course work in marketing, communications, multi-media, public relations or a closely related field and one (1) year of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education, course work and work experience on a year for year basis can be substituted for the 4-year degree requirement. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient experience with MS 365, Office. Experience with marketing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media marketing tools. Demonstrated knowledge of social media such as TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Ability to work independently and accurately in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Excellent self-management, communication, and team-based participation. The ability to prioritize projects and have excellent communication (especially verbal), interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, in a fast-paced environment, to multitask, work for multiple managers. Customer-focused and capable of relating well at all levels of the organization. Basic photography skills are a plus. A valid drivers’ license is required. Individual may be required to travel in the course of their daily work.
