Job Description
Description MarineMax is looking for a sharp and innovative Email Marketing Specialist who is passionate about all things email marketing. As the Email Marketing Specialist, you will create and deploy emails, including building emails from templates and HTML, writing email copy, conducting A/B tests, pulling lists, managing calendars, and optimizing emails based on best practices. This person will sit under the ‘digital’ group that covers websites, email marketing and Hubspot team. The Email Marketing specialist will report into the Email Marketing Manager.
Over the last 2 years MarineMax has been continuing to grow as an overall company and acquiring new dealing ships. With a few other acquisitions in the pipeline. This year they’re goal is get into other kinds of business like Finance and insurance for boating to diversify from their competitors. With all these exciting initiatives coming up, there will be a whole new set of marketing emails that they’re going to be needing.
Day to day: This person will be doing production for emails, need to be able to update the existing templates, sending emails to existing/ new acquisitions and looking at inventory to see what is available.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience in email marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field.
- An ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
- Experience with
HTML/CSS
coding for responsive templates.
- HubSpot experience is preferred.
- Experience with Photoshop or other digital editing software.
- Good knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organization and detail skills.

KEY TASKS
- Hands-on development of all email campaigns, including building emails from templates and HTML, copywriting, QA, and scheduling.
- Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling.
- Work closely with stakeholders to solicit approvals for emails as well as recommend improvements based on best practices and proven stats.
- Use data points in HubSpot to pull targeted email recipient lists as well as manage overall email database health and sending reputation.
- Track, report, and analyze email metrics in order to provide digestible and actionable reporting to Management.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Improve open rates and click throughs on emails through improved design, testing, monitoring of results, and use of best practices.
- Create and execute emails without errors, according to brand guidelines, and deployed on schedule to the correct list.
- Pull email lists according to job/campaign specs and provide recommendations for improving the targeting of the appropriate audience.
- Maintain high standards of deliverability and strong email reputation while following
CAN-SPAM
regulations. Experience Level Intermediate Level
