Engineering Support Specialist – Marketing (Open to OPT candidates!) 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Groveland, MA 01834 • Hybrid work Job Summary This is a role for an Electronics, Controls Engineering or Circuitry professional who wants to move into Marketing. The Technical Solutions Specialist will provide critical technical support for Chesterton’s growing line of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions. Working closely with the Global Technology Solutions Director, this person will help drive successful customer implementations, support field troubleshooting, and contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of our sensor and connectivity solutions. Overtime, this role offers the opportunity to grow into advanced marketing roles.

Job Model:

Hybrid Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.

Responsibilities:

Support marketing deployment of IIoT sensors, gateways and controls across a variety of industrial applications Develop technical marketing materials, conduct field research, develop data sets Assist sales, customers, and distributors with hands-on technical troubleshooting and field implementation Collaborate with engineering on validation testing and product refinements Help develop technical documentation and field guidance for installations Serve as a technical resource for global sales teams and distribution partners Participate in customer calls, field visits, and remote support for early-stage deployments Gather feedback from field applications to drive improvements in usability and functionality Support pilot programs, beta trials, and application success stories Contribute to defining product specifications for future IIoT solutions Assist in validation testing, quality checks, and new product introduction planning Track customer needs and industry trends to identify improvement opportunities Coordinate with cloud development and integration teams on connectivity and platform feedback Complexity of Duties Able to work independently and with guidance from supervisor. Able to work on simple to moderate tasks, with awareness of when to escalate complex issues Familiarity with sensors, Bluetooth, controls, cloud platforms, or industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus

TCP/IP, MQTT

Experience:

1-3 years of relevant hands-on experience in a electrical, electronics control, engineering, or technical support environment (co-op/internships count!) Targeted pay range:

$65,000 – $72,000/yr Chesterton is committed to paying all its employees in a fair and equitable manner. The pay range associated with this position ($65,000 – $72,000/yr DOE) is Chesterton’s good-faith salary estimate for the presently available position. Several roles at Chesterton are considered “leveled” positions and as such, the company reserves the right to advertise and or hire for this position at appropriate level depending on applicant’s skillset/experience. If the salary range to be offered for a “leveled” based position (I, II, III, etc.) is different than what was advertised on any posting, that range will be discussed with the candidate before they are formally invited to interview. Hired applicants may be eligible for additional incentive compensation depending on the level and or function of the position which will be discussed with the candidate prior to formal interview. Payments under these programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
