We’re looking for a dynamic and running community-focused Marketing Specialist to represent Vibram in the Northeast region. Based at the Vibram Connection Lab in Boston—a hybrid space for design, events, and innovation—you’ll serve as a critical link between our brand and the local running community, retail partners, and the broader footwear industry. What You’ll Do Retail & Brand Engagement Lead retail training sessions, brand clinics, and consumer events to build Vibram brand awareness in the running marketplace. Serve as a brand ambassador, educating consumers, retailers, and partners on Vibram products, technologies, and sustainability initiatives. Partner with retail accounts to support in-store promotions, merchandising, and activation plans that drive sell-through. Monitor the regional retail landscape, providing regular market insights to the broader marketing team. Execute merchandising strategies and manage point-of-purchase materials at retail locations. Vibram Connection Lab Programming Plan and manage events, trainings, partner visits, and workshops at the Vibram Connection Lab. Oversee the local events calendar and communicate updates to internal teams. Engage with Boston’s creative community and local footwear professionals by attending networking events and building partnerships. Collaborate with local organizations to co-create innovative programs that foster brand connection. Work closely with the internal marketing team to promote events via social media, email, and print materials. Regional Event Leadership Act as Vibram’s local face in the Boston area, leading grassroots marketing and running community outreach efforts. Plan and execute regional running community events that deliver high-impact brand visibility. Manage event logistics, vendor relationships, local event budgets, and post-event reporting. Travel to national and regional events, supporting brand activations and retail trainings. What to Expect Hybrid work environment: 3-4 days onsite at the Vibram Connection Lab, 1-2 days remote (subject to change). Frequent local travel within the Northeast, with occasional national travel (up to 30%). Evening and weekend event work as needed. Must be able to lift and move items up to 40 lbs during event setups. Collaborative cross-functional work with marketing, vendors, and retail partners.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail, event planning, or marketing, preferably in running industry. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred). Outdoor sports enthusiast with experience and enjoyment in activities such as trail and road running. Strong public speaking and presentation skills with a training-oriented mindset. Passion for community engagement and creating memorable brand experiences. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
