Job Description

This position provides key support for the Communications branch of the Marketing Department by conducting a diverse range of duties including assisting the Communications team with marketing material creation, supporting the drafting and editing of communications, social media management, clerical duties to support MMG’s corporate giving program and other initiatives, and cataloging Comms. materials, among other duties. Strong attention to detail, organization, an ability to juggle multiple projects, creativity, enthusiasm to learn, and an eye for editing are essential skills to succeed in this role.

What You’ll Do:

Manages MMG’s social media presence by creating and scheduling posts tailored to each social channel in alignment with MMG’s social media strategy. Periodically compiles social reports. Crafts new or updates existing invitations, flyers, advertisements, and graphics as directed. Assists with the creation of marketing & communication materials in collaboration with Comms. team and external vendors. Helps review, edit, and proof final documents, ads, and other materials. Periodically drafts agency & policyholder communications. Serves as backup for distributing these communications. Manages routine content updates to MMG’s public website and agency portal. Manages and enhances the Communications Materials SharePoint site by uploading and organizing current resources. Supports MMG’s corporate community giving program by processing and logging donations and handling related recognition requests for logos, photo ops, press releases, etc. Supports creation of MMG’s annual report by compiling information and assisting with review of drafts. Cultivates photo resource library and other materials to bolster MMG brand and MMG archives. Occasionally responsible for taking photos at events or photo ops. Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Highly organized and possesses ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Strong attention to detail. Ability to think creatively and a want to learn and grow in the role.
