The Produce Specialist is a results-driven sales role responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the fresh produce category, and building strong, long-term client relationships within the designated territory. Reporting directly to the Corp Director of Sales, this role focuses on growing new business, leveraging market insights, and achieving assigned sales and profitability goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to grow the fresh produce category and meet assigned sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both independent and chain accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional customer service and addressing concerns promptly. Conduct account analysis to identify growth opportunities and recommend optimized product offerings. Leverage data and market insights to prioritize opportunities and enhance sales efforts. Actively seek and convert top prospects into Ferraro Foods customers. Provide value-added services by sharing market trends, competitor insights, and product innovations with clients. Represent Ferraro Foods at trade shows, food expos, and other industry events to promote products and generate leads. Collaborate with internal teams to track sales activities and maintain up-to-date records using Ferraro Foods’ CRM tools. Support the execution of company marketing plans and sales promotions. Mentor and support new sales team members as needed.

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in a retail, brokerage, wholesale, or distribution environment. Strong knowledge of fresh produce trends, products, and market dynamics. Proficiency in data analysis and leveraging insights to drive sales decisions. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems. Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong presentation and proposal development skills. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Preferred Qualifications Experience in consultative sales techniques and strategic account management. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:
