This marketing position will report directly to AMGUARD’s Director of Marketing and will work across all AMGUARD specialty market segments – Public Health, Pest, Turf, Nursery, Ornamental, and Landscape. This new role on the team will bring experience and skills developing marketing analytics, conducting market and competitive research, and strengthening AMGUARD’s ability to measure and manage key marketing outcomes while working as a marketing generalist on a team focused on branding, digital marketing campaigns, and supporting our overall commercial initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career marketing professional with experience in AMGUARD’s specialty markets that is seeking an opportunity to work on a variety of marketing missions as part of an entrepreneurial, growth-minded team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Leverage market research reports, industry publications, surveys, focus groups, and sales team market observations to prepare a monthly competitive analysis report, including pricing, promotions (discounts/rebates), messaging, and media coverage. Deliver annual updates on market size estimates and research specific market information as needed to support product development projects. Prepare a monthly analysis of EDI sales data to help build sales funnels and identify regional and product marketing opportunities. Prepare a monthly ROI analysis of paid media metrics to help the team maximize use of our media budget. Build data visualization tools for use in reports and presentations. Support the development, execution, and analysis of surveys and focus groups. Participate in key innovation and product development initiatives
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
3+ years of experience marketing and/or selling insect, weed, and plant disease control products and/or services in US specialty markets Bachelor’s degree Familiarity with US specialty markets, drivers, competitive products, and regulatory environments Understanding of manufacturer indirect sales models and multiple customer audiences Product development and product management experience is a plus An entrepreneurial, agile, creative mindset that thrives in entrepreneurial environments A focus on leadership by example, a bias for results and execution, and the humility and confidence to put team success ahead of self A customer service mindset with the drive to deliver optimal data and tools that set our sales, marketing, and executive teams up for success A knack for clarifying, simplifying, and streamlining information and processes Excellent data visualization skills via Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft BI Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff Detail-oriented and self-motivated Proficiency with Google Marketing Platform Strong financial acumen and spreadsheet development skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail Strong written & oral communication skills
