Job Summary:

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for working closely with the Marketing Team in developing and executing marketing plans, strategies, and support materials that promote the company’s brand and services. As a key contributor, the Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in executing and enhancing marketing strategies across various channels. The Marketing Specialist stays updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, community outreach and initiatives, and marketing best practices to incorporate relevant content into the company’s strategy. The Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Marketing Manager. This is an in-office position, with the potential to transition to a hybrid work schedule.

Primary Duties:

Develops and implements social media and email content across various platforms to enhance the company’s online presence and support growth. Creates engaging content for social media, blog posts, websites, newsletters, and marketing materials. Develops and maintains a content calendar aligned with overall marketing goals and campaign timelines. Responsible for community outreach initiatives along with Marketing Manager, Relationship Managers, Director of Sales, VP Business Resources, and CEO. Helps identify target customers and markets. Ensures timely delivery of Constant Contact communications to clients regarding company news and information, service offerings, hiring initiatives, and community events and attractions. Designs and creates company advertising, marketing materials, logos, graphics, etc. Fosters a positive and collaborative team culture through employee communication and assisting with the organization of employee events and activities. Assists with employer branding in collaboration with the HR department, including job ads, training materials, recruitment materials, etc. Helps review and maintain company websites for desktop and mobile browsing. Liaises and corresponds with outside vendors and suppliers as required.

Strong customer service relationship-building skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong eye for graphic design and visual storytelling. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), Canva, and Google Suite. Basic understanding of SEO (a plus). Photography skills (a plus).

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

2-3 years of relative experience preferred.

Licenses & Certificates:

Industry-specific licensing or certificates a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
