Shopper Communications Planner Confidential Philadelphia, PA 19106 • Hybrid work About the Role Are you a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of brand, behavior, and engagement? We’re looking for a Shopper Communications Planner to help shape how CPG brands connect with consumers across every step of the path to purchase from in-store displays to digital shelf to ecommerce. In this hybrid role, you’ll build insight-driven communication strategies that guide creative development, media planning, and retailer-specific customization. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to create multi-touchpoint campaigns that resonate with today’s shoppers and help elevate our agency’s own thought leadership along the way. This is a unique opportunity to bring together your shopper marketing expertise, omnichannel thinking, and passion for influencing consumer behavior. What You’ll Do Lead Strategic Development Craft integrated communications strategies that align brand objectives with shopper insights and retail/ecommerce realities. Map the Shopper Journey Design omnichannel journey maps that identify key moments across in-store, ecommerce, digital, and social environments. Translate Insights into Action Leverage syndicated tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Numerator), behavioral data, and custom research to inform planning and creative direction. Customize for Retailers Adapt plans for major retail partners (e.g., Walmart, Amazon, Kroger, Target) and their retail media platforms (e.g., Walmart Connect, Roundel). Inspire & Collaborate Write compelling creative briefs and partner closely with internal teams (creative, media, analytics, account) to guide execution. Contribute to Agency Thought Leadership Support agency PR efforts by contributing to case studies, award submissions, and strategic content. Mentor & Elevate Guide junior team members and help elevate strategic thinking across departments. Measure & Optimize Define success metrics and collaborate with analytics to evaluate performance and inform future planning. What You Bring 5-7 years of experience in communications planning, shopper marketing, brand strategy, or integrated marketing (agency experience preferred) Deep understanding of CPG brand dynamics and the modern retail landscape (in-store and online) Experience with ecommerce and digital retail media platforms Strong storytelling, presentation, and communication skills Proficiency with syndicated data tools and insights platforms (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Numerator) A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive approach Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications a plus) Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for client and agency engagements Ready to bring big ideas to life? to join a team that connects creativity and commerce with strategic precision.
