Senior Field Marketing Specialist

  • Data Platform
    We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Data Platform Specialist to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies specifically.

This role is crucial for driving pipeline growth, increasing brand awareness, and enabling sales success encompassing Databases, cloud, AI, analytics, and more. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic individual who can navigate the complexities of various offerings and build trust with the North America cloud infrastructure data platform sales organization through tailored and compliant marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Platform SME & Content Leader:

    Act as the SME for Oracle’s data platform portfolio. Translate product capabilities into clear, differentiated customer value stories. Shape messaging that reflects Oracle’s leadership in databases, analytics, and AI.

  • Content Development & Curation:

    Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of content assets-pitch decks, demos, and customer-facing narratives-that support marketing campaigns, sales conversations, and events.

  • Technical Presentation & Messaging:

    Present at customer-facing events as a platform expert. Build and deliver session content that connects technical solutions with business impact. Help other speakers tailor their content for clarity and relevance.

  • Field Marketing Strategy Support:

    Work alongside sales and field marketing leaders to identify regional needs and customize campaigns. Align content development to sales plays, verticals, and account priorities.

  • Event & Forum Content Strategy:

    Shape session agendas and core messaging for Oracle-led forums, workshops, and test drives. Ensure technical depth, use-case clarity, and message consistency across regions and formats.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Partner with Product Management, Product Marketing, Cloud Engineering, and Demand Services to source accurate technical inputs and align campaign messaging with corporate priorities.

  • Campaign Support & Offers:

    Support campaign execution by contributing content for paid and digital programs. Develop simple, high-impact customer offers-such as free trials, test drives, or hands-on labs-that drive action.

Customer Segmentation & Personalization:

Contribute to targeting strategies by aligning content to key customer segments based on industry, maturity, and solution interest.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B field marketing, product marketing, or technical marketing, preferably in the cloud infrastructure, database, or AI/analytics space.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data platforms, including cloud databases, data lakes, analytics, and GenAI/ML services.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging for technical and business audiences.
  • Strong experience developing and curating content assets (presentations, demos, briefs, narratives) that support sales and customer engagement.
  • Confident presenter and communicator, able to represent Oracle in front of customers, executives, and partners.
  • Experience collaborating with product management, engineering, and sales teams to ensure message accuracy and relevance.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multicloud architectures (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience is a strong plus).
  • Familiarity with modern AI/ML concepts, including GenAI, LLMOps, and vector search, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail and project ownership.

Responsibilities
Meets with Sales leaders to create strategic marketing plan in support of pipeline and revenue objectives. Participant on Sales leadership team and regular pipeline and forecast review meetings. Develops and implements tactical marketing programs in conjunction with Sales, Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Direct (Telesales), and external influencers such as user groups and industry trade associations. Provides onsite execution support for marketing programs. Tracks lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner. Creates and manages program budget, measures ROI through metrics analysis and reporting. Acts as a virtual team liaison for corporate business initiatives, programs and launches. Provides recommendations on program delivery to HQ virtual team leads. Communicates program status, action items, and deliverables across Field Marketing team and Sales.

US:

Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
