The Senior Media Planner will own the day-to-day process of developing B2C full-funnel traditional and digital media campaigns for our agency partners to execute—optimizing these campaigns and managing the advertising budget in conjunction with senior leadership. This person will manage a multi-million dollar advertising budget, ensuring we make our raw lead goals.
This leader will play a critical role in driving media strategies for our markets across TV, radio, print, and digital channels that align with our B2C marketing lead generation goals. The Senior Media Planner will have the ability to synthesize performance data, applying learnings to media plans and leading a performance-focused media strategy, while owning elements of planning and strategy with core internal stakeholders. This person will be responsible for spending our advertising budget on advertising channels that enable us to meet/exceed our 2025 raw lead goals. This includes defining new channels to test, identifying ROI metrics to track, and determining which mediums should be added into our advertising mix.
Responsibilities
The Senior Media Planner will own the day-to-day process of developing B2C full-funnel traditional and digital media campaigns for our agency partners to execute—optimizing these campaigns and managing the advertising budget in conjunction with senior leadership. This leader will play a critical role in driving media strategies for all markets across TV/OTT/CTV, radio, print, and digital channels that align with our B2C marketing lead generation goals. The Senior Media Planner should have the ability to synthesize performance data, applying learnings to media plans and leading a performance-focused media strategy, while owning elements of planning and strategy with core internal stakeholders. This role will also manage the Digital Marketing Specialist who is responsible for tracking full-funnel advertising analytics, dashboards, and marketing integrations with our CRM/other tools.
B2C Strategy – 40%
Provide recommendations and help build out media plans with senior leadership and agency partners, including where to invest across traditional and digital channels.
Contribute to metrics insights and create recommendations to optimize the channel mix monthly, aligning strategies with NewSouth’s business goals across all markets.
Test and evaluate new advertising channels to optimize full-funnel performance and ensure maximum return on investment.
Oversee the Digital Marketing Specialist, providing clear guidance on daily tasks, performance, and career development.
Stay informed on the latest media buying tools, trends, and technologies to drive campaign innovation and success.
Budgeting – 35%
Monitor and optimize all media spend, adjusting strategies based upon real-time performance data and sales insights to enhance campaign efficiency.
Reporting – 15%
Provide comprehensive reports on media spend, performance metrics, and recommendations for optimization.
Responsible for providing data for dashboards/Excel trackers, as needed ensuring accuracy and validity of data shown.
Relationship Management – 10%
Collaborate closely with internal sales and marketing stakeholders to ensure media plans align with broader marketing and business objectives.
Troubleshoot performance results with external agency partners, when necessary.
Keep senior leadership updated on the status and timing of deliverables.

Key Performance Indicators:

Cost per lead, lead volume, return on advertising spend.
Qualifications

Required:

5+ years of proven experience as a B2C Media Planner with a strong understanding of digital (Meta, Google, OTT, CTV) and traditional (TV, radio, print) media channels.
5+ year of experience managing million-dollar media budgets and maximizing ROI on ad spend.
5+ years of proven experience profitably driving high-volume lead generation acquisition funnels.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience, including direct supervision of team members.
Proven track record of developing and mentoring team members to achieve strategic goals.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret campaign data and optimize media placements.
Confident, assertive, results-driven, self-starter, and able to self-manage and interact with a marketing and sales teams.
Ability to think for yourself and make adjustments without being told.
Experience with local/regional lead generation campaigns across multiple US markets.
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate progress, results, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all media plans, reports, and initiatives.
Effectively showcase strong project management skills.
A passion for staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging marketing technologies.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Must be flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Desired:

Experience with ClickUp.
Experience with automations, Zapier, and other marketing tech software.
Experience in the fenestration industry is valuable but not necessary.

Education:

Bachelor’s in Marketing preferred. Will accept experience in place of a BA.
