The Global Media COE (Center of Excellence) team at Lenovo is looking to accelerate Lenovo into an innovative marketer by building an in-house/agency hybrid model in all geos. As part of this goal, the NA Marketing team is building an in-house media team to manage media planning and strategy for North America Consumer and Commercial Marketing. The team is seeking a Media Communications Planner for B2B Marketing to drive smart and effective media plans to support Lenovo’s Commercial business.
The Media Communications Planner will develop, implement, and optimize multi-channel media strategies that align with brand goals and drive audience engagement. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between marketing objectives and media execution across traditional and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team of media planners to develop comprehensive media plans that align with marketing and business objectives.
Experience leveraging tools and data to conduct audience research, media consumption analysis, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategy.
Work closely with key media partners to develop plans that align to brand goals and effectively reach commercial audience target.
Recommend media mix, budget allocations, and timing strategies for campaigns.
Present plans, rationale, and performance reports to internal stakeholders.
Stay current on media trends, technologies, and tools to inform planning and innovation.
Drive testing roadmap to ensure we’re maintaining a test and learn strategy with new opportunities at the forefront.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
8+ years of experience in B2B media planning, media buying, or communications strategy in the technology vertical 1+ year of people management experience
Strong understanding of digital media (e.g., paid social, display, programmatic) and traditional media (e.g., TV, radio, print) as well as Account Based Marketing
Proficiency with media planning tools (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, Pathmatics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager)
Experience with emerging media trends and platforms, such as connected TV, OTT, and digital out-of-home

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing teams of media planners, buyers, and analysts
Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to inform media strategy and decision-making
Excels at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Experienced manager of large-scale marketing budgets, forecasting, and ROI analysis
Familiarity with subscriber business models, customer base management and lifecycle engagement tactics, techniques and practices
Experience working within a very large, fast-moving organization with many internal and external stakeholders is a bonus

Methods and Tools:

Proficiency with media planning and buying platforms, such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, DV360, and The Trade Desk
Taxonomy development and implementation
Attribution methodologies
Media metrics across a full array of channels and tactics
Ad tech: ad serving, DSPs/DMPs, CDPs, DCO, Clean Rooms, etc.
Lenovo’s North America Headquarters is based in Raleigh, NC. We are open to remote candidates in US but you must be able to work during East Coast business hours. The base salary range budgeted for this position is $115K
