Position Summary:

This position directs and oversees the product life cycle of the current product offering and the new product development process for the North American roofing membrane category for sale into the commercial and residential market segments. This position also provides an interface with all company functional team Directors and the CEO, involves very close liaison with, support of, and coordination with the company Sales Leaders and Independent Sales Reps and their direct reports within the corresponding sales regions of Polyglass USA, Inc.

Responsibilities:

Identifies market potential in the overall roofing membrane category, establishes pricing and market strategies, estimates potential sales, introduces market, distribution/channel issues, and manages mature product through its entire life cycle. Leads and determines the company Stage Gate process for introducing new and innovative product opportunities into the roofing market working cross-functionally with R D, Sales, Manufacturing, Codes, Marketing, and others as needed. Partners with Marketing in developing promotional activities, publicizing the product through the press, sales force, marketing collateral, website, videos, and other media. Leads, manages, coaches and mentors Associate Managers and Product Managers within the membrane product category to align their talents and work output with the department’s objectives. Develops and implements strategies and direction consistent with the company business plan. Manages internal/external resources to execute assigned programs. Coordinates and leads program planning with customers to ensure identification of appropriate manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, costs, and similar considerations. Coordinates and communicates product introduction and market exploitation with the Marketing and Sales departments to ensure maximum penetration into the roof membrane segment. Presents information at trade shows, technical forums, internal and Senior Management teams, as necessary. Collaborates proactively to promote teamwork at all levels of the Company. Leads continuous improvement activities and offers positive constructive suggestions for improvements and innovations. Performs other duties as required for the success of Polyglass USA, Inc.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, working in a roofing/ roofing manufacturing company. Minimum 5 years of experience presenting and interfacing directly with cross-functional teams, Senior Leadership, and external customers. Minimum 5 years of experience of project management/leading projects, following solid project management principles. Minimum 5 years Low-slope commercial and residential roofing experience with modified bitumen products and technologies. Minimum 2 years’ experience managing direct reports required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. MS Project experience preferred. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred. Travel requirement of 10% Candidate must be local, or willing to relocate to Deerfield Beach, FL. Polyglass will provide relocation assistance. .
