Job Summary:

Responsible for all aspects of Manufacturing, Packaging within the Transdermal Manufacturing and Packaging at main and satellite facilities, including ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with Safe Work Practices, cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies to ensure compliance with all safety and quality regulations. The focus of responsibility is for day-to-day performance and results, Process improvements and measurements to evaluate area performance focusing on delivering Supply Plan and contributing to continuous process reliability, quality, performance and cost efficiencies to facilitate improved productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs all work in support of our Corporate Values of Pride, Accountability, Integrity and Diligence; Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values. Provide results-oriented leadership that drives continuous improvement consistent with the commercial Operations Strategic Plan and Production Plan. Leads production team to facilitate production activities and outcomes to ensure production schedule, goals and objectives are met. Recruits, trains, develops and effectively manages the ongoing performance of all direct reports, which includes, but is not limited to: Ensuring their Job Descriptions are reviewed, signed and sent to Human Resources, annually Reviewing and updating employee development plans, ensuring that all employees are properly trained and qualified to execute their duties Providing coaching, feedback and recognition on a continuous basis (i.e. one on one meetings, shop floor walkthroughs) Responsible to ensure compliance of team members (direct reports) with Safety and Employment policies (e.g., Respect in the Workplace – Prevention of Violence and/or Harassment). Directs the development and maintenance of systems and metrics to measure and evaluate both productivity and individual performance and contribution on an on-going basis. Sponsors and facilitates the use of systems and metrics to guide the initiation and execution of safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives in support of the Operations Strategic Plan and Production Plan. Builds and maintains positive relationships with the key business partners within and outside of Production (e.g. Engineering, Technical Services, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Warehouse, QA, Formulations, Human Resources etc.) and facilitates interactions between production team and support groups. Ensures department is professional and performs all work in accordance with established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements. Reviews and approves investigations and ensures systemic preventive/corrective action for all safety and compliance non-conformances are implemented. Develop and support a culture within the organization that promotes problem solving at the team level. All other duties as assigned form the department head. Education Undergraduate University degree at minimum. Pharmacy, Science or Engineering preferred. MBA would be considered an asset

Experience:

7 to 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply industry, including 5 years progressive experience in a leadership position. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience working in a matrix reporting environment preferred Good understanding of business/operational principles Good understanding of FDA Regulations Preferably Parts 210 & 211, and Part 820 Demonstrated leadership experience particularly in the areas of approachability, dealing with direct reports, managing diversity, setting goals and objectives and measuring performance Computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs and exposure to SAP or other ERPs Proven experience in systematic problem solving Excellent communication and leadership skills Excellent interpersonal skills; strong ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results oriented environment Self-starter and a team player who will thrive in an entrepreneurial and matrix environment
