About the team you are joining The Airline, Airport and Security Solutions department provides the aviation industry with transformative Operational and Compliance products and services helping to drive industry profitability and sustainability. Within the department, the IATA Identity Services team provides the aviation industry with coding and identification services which power a globally connected travel ecosystem. This includes the issuance of codes and identifiers to industry stakeholders, and the provision of value-added solutions based on these codes, which are used organisations across the travel industry to optimize their operations, marketing, and sales. Codes and identifiers are issued to organisations and individuals in the aviation space including airports, airlines, travel agents, travel technology providers and industry professionals. As Assistant Director Identity Services, you will be responsible for leading a large team responsible for both the operations and product management of the entire Identity Services portfolio. A key focus will be the transformation of the current portfolio and the development of new products and structures supporting the industry digital transformation. What your day would be like
Develop and articulate a clear strategy and vision for the Identity Service portfolio, aligning the product roadmap and product goals with the IATA’s overall goals, market trends, and customer needs,
Maintain full P&L ownership for the portfolio including managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensure Identity Services NPS and financial targets are met or exceeded,
Develop and launch new products and product enhancement supporting industry digital transformation, ensuring the portfolio remain relevant while addressing evolving stakeholder needs,
Lead and inspire a team of product managers and coordinate their product management of the portfolio including Coding, Global Data Products, ID Cards, IATAN, EPIC and TIDS,
Lead and inspire the Customers Operations team and Customer Success Manager to ensure the service provided to customers is optimized leading to positive customer satisfaction and retention. Coordinate and align Identity Services customer operations activities provided by other departments,
Manage product manager to ensure that they meet key performance indicators including marketing, insights research, NPS, sales, P&L, budgeting and forecasting, vendor management. Ensure their individual revenue and profit targets are met and exceeded. Embed core product management methodologies across the team,
Ensure close collaboration of the Identity Services team with key departments and stakeholders including financial settlement, regional management, marketing, sales, legal, customer service, technology, and others,
Work closely with regional sales teams on product development, education and sales ensuring the proliferation of Identity Services products across all regions,
Represent the promote Identity Services products at industry events, product user forums and participate/lead relevant industry groups,
Collaborate with department leadership in developing and executing a strategic vision for the Airline, Airport and Security department.

University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or equivalent
7 – 10 years of commercial / product management experience preferably in the airline or wider travel industry,
Experience in the travel industry, and in distribution in particular,
Knowledge and experience with identity management solutions and their implementation,
Outstanding presentation and communication skills with ability to transmit messages effectively and concisely,
Strong leader, comfortable in managing multifunctional teams and external suppliers,
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build sustainable relationships with stakeholders,
Comfortable in public speaking and influencing key stakeholders,
Attention to detail and an ability to sift through data to derive thoughtful insights,
Flexible, innovative, and can-do mentality and the ability to work in a complex, business critical and high-profile commercial environment and in ambiguous situations,
Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages desirable.
This is not a remote position; the successful candidate will be required to work three days from the office.
