Role:
Carrier is looking for an experienced Product Manager, Mobile andWall Modules professional to oversee research and analytics tosupport and contribute to the development of marketing strategies.
Responsible for prioritizing projects and identifying opportunitiesof improvement to enhance Product Management performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the product strategy and roadmap for ALC products mobileapp and the Carrier thermostat/wall modules. Collaborate closely with the Peripherals product managementteam to drive ecosystem growth. Drive strategy, product requirements, value proposition, andpricing for the new strategy Collaboration with cross-functional teams globally (sales,marketing, engineering) Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics toensure effective product and service placement relative to marketopportunity, working closely with product and service developmentfor a specific product or service, brand, or product/service areaover its entire life cycle. Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans,goals, and objectives for specific product/service orproduct/service line. Collects and analyzes macroeconomics, industry, and targetmarket information to forecast market size. Determines the business case, profitability and viability ofnew products/services or product/service enhancements. Confers with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyrightinfringement or royalty sharing with outside producers ordistributors. Oversees and directs competitive product/service analysis andmarket research of product/service consumer behavior andprofessional audience. Responsible for controlling the evolution of sales of one ormore products/brands of the company. Coordinates promotions and advertising efforts ofproducts/services or brands under his/her responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree 5 + years of experience in product management and/or buildingautomation industry Preferred qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills, includingpublic speaking. Experience with Carrier and/or Automated Logic buildingmanagement system Experience estimating and designing control systems. Demonstrate exceptional analytical problem-solving and criticalthinking skills. Ability to develop constructive and collaborative workingrelationships across functional teams. Up to date on new technologies and ability to apply newknowledge and techniques to the job. Use and familiarity with MS Office – Outlook (power user),Excel (power user), PowerPoint (power user), Word, Visio,Photoshop, Salesforce.com platform. Camtasia or other video recording/editing softwareexperience. Ability to handle several tasks at a time and deliverconsistently.
