Job Description Role Overview:
The Product Manager will oversee product strategy, development, and execution within our warehouse automation ecosystem. This includes managing the Goods-to-Person Proof of Concept at our Locus Grove DFC, leveraging robotics for automated receiving, putaway, picking, and packing. This initiative aims to streamline logistics, enhance accuracy, and reduce manual labor.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Planning (30%) Develop and implement product strategy aligned with business goals. Define priorities based on user needs, system capabilities, and emerging technologies. Conduct research to analyze market trends and competitor solutions. Maintain a well-groomed product backlog and collaborate with stakeholders to refine product direction. Partner with Finance to assess financial impacts and support business planning. Execution & Delivery (60%) Drive end-to-end product development, ensuring timely delivery and value realization. Lead user testing and validation to enhance automation solutions. Manage integration of WMS, WCS, and WES warehouse systems to optimize workflows. Work closely with engineering, UX, and business teams to execute and refine automation strategies. Make data-driven decisions to improve warehouse efficiency and automation performance. Ensure quality assurance and compliance with industry standards. Collaboration & Leadership (10%) Act as a liaison between business, technical teams, and stakeholders to drive alignment and execution. Advocate for agile methodologies and best practices in warehouse automation. Participate in product demos, iteration planning sessions, and retrospectives. Support junior team members in strategy development and execution. Contribute to talent acquisition and professional development initiatives. Skills and Requirements Product Management:
3-6 years of experience in enterprise-level product management, ideally within warehouse automation, logistics, or supply chain technology.
Warehouse Systems Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with
WMS/WCS/WES
warehouse systems, preferably Manhattan Associates or Honeywell, but familiarity with other solutions is also valuable.
Agile Product Development:
Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies and Extreme Programming (XP) principles such as paired programming, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous deployment.
Automation & Robotics:
