As a Senior Manager of Technology, you will lead the technical execution of enterprise e-commerce solutions, driving innovation, scalability, and efficiency. You will collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver robust platform-based commerce packages that meet and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade e-commerce platforms.
Define and execute technical strategies aligned with the client’s business goals.
Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring high quality, timeliness, and scalability of solutions.
Act as a technical advisor to clients, translating business needs into innovative technical solutions.
Mentor and guide engineering teams to foster skill development and engineering excellence.
Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
Integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and maintain a competitive edge.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with organisational objectives.
Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project outcomes.
Skills & Experience:
10+ years of experience in e-commerce platform development and delivery.
Deep expertise in leading e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Adobe Commerce (Magento), SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
Proficiency in microservices architecture, API-first design, and cloud-native solutions.
Strong background in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
Proven experience in managing complex e-commerce implementations for enterprise clients.
Strong understanding of performance optimisation, scalability, and integration with third-party systems.
Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in leading e-commerce platforms or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with headless commerce architecture and MACH principles.
Proven leadership in managing globally distributed technical teams.
Knowledge of omnichannel commerce strategies and customer experience design.
Thought leadership in e-commerce through speaking engagements or publications
