Job SummaryNetApp is looking for a Technical Hardware andSustainability Product Manager to join the product management team,who has successfully managed and influenced hardware designs inlarger enterprise companies. He/she has a track record of workingin highly effective product management teams and workingcollaboratively with global R D.This is an individual rolereporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, he/she willwork closely with the company Product leadership teams,Engineering, Procurement, Sustainability and Support teams todefine a compelling product strategy working on the fastest growingsegment within NetApp’s portfolio! For the second part of this role, we’re seeking a strategic andpassionate Sustainability Product Manager to lead ourenvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. Yourresponsibilities will involve developing and implementingsustainability strategies, reducing environmental impact, andensuring compliance with industry regulations and sustainabilitygoals. NetApp’s near-term green-house gas (GHG) emissions reductiontargets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative(SBTi). - Gather, validate, and evaluate product/market requirementsthrough market and customer research, competitive and productresearch involving customer visits, advisory councils, industryevents, analyst relationships, etc
- Collaborate with R D to translate sustainability marketrequirements into innovative new technology and with support todeliver solutions that have fast time-to-value and acceleratetime-to-revenue
- Help to define the product vision, direction, and businessplans, including product plans/roadmaps, product evolution andproduct lifecycle process
- Provide insights into the business through analytics and marketresearch in collaboration with Product and Procurement teams
- Translate system functionality and sustainability requirementsinto a business relevant language
- Gain experience in global sustainability, with knowledge of thestrategies and priorities within global regions and provide insightinto corporate leaders.
- Help develop and execute sustainability programs to reducecarbon footprint, waste, and resource consumption.
- Understand how hardware components can influence the resultingpower consumption for a storage system to develop better reportingof sustainability metrics.
- Monitor, measure, and report sustainability metrics, ensuringalignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards(e.g., ESG reporting, GRI, CDP, UN SDGs).
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., supply chain,operations, Legal, HR, marketing) to integrate sustainablepractices into business processes.
- Assess and mitigate environmental across the organization’soperations and supply chain.
- Engage and educate employees, suppliers, and stakeholders onsustainability policies and best practices.
- Stay up to date with sustainability trends, innovations, andlegal requirements to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop partnerships with external organizations, NGOs, andgovernment bodies to enhance sustainability initiatives.
JobRequirementsTechnical & Industry Skills:
Minimum requirements
- 3+ years in product management.
- Experience in hardware product management
- Experience in server, networking and storage technology relatedexperience for data centers, on-premises and understanding ofstorage technologies such as FCP, iSCSI, NVMe, SMB, NFSv3/NFSv4,S3, SATA, SAS, RAID and erasure coding topology
- Knowledge with backup and disaster recovery architectures forSAN and NAS environments
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever isnecessary
- Work on the technical issues reported by customers on thenew/deployed product
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- Ability to build and/or use tools for BOM, Sizing, Pricing, etcpurposes
- Problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Experience working with teams across geographies and businessunits.
- Excellent listening, oral, and writtencommunication/presentation skills with strong ability to influencepeople at all levels and in various functions.
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks, ESG reporting, carbonaccounting, and life cycle assessments (LCA) including productcarbon footprint (PCF) reporting.
- Basic experience with sustainable supply chains, circulareconomy principles, and renewable energy strategies.
- Basic Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to tracksustainability performance.
Preferred Qualifications Experience:
- Experience with Tableau, SalesForce, Jira
- Hands-on experience on provisioning of storage devices for outof box experience
- Deep knowledge around CPUs, GPUs and DPUs and PCIe, NVMe andSSDs
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems withextreme attention to detail
- BA/BS required, in Computer Science or related technicaldegree
- MBA•Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainabilitycertifications (e.
g., ISO 14001, B Corp, LEED, GRI, Energy Star,ErP / EU Lot 9).
- Deep knowledge of sustainability frameworks, ESG reporting,carbon accounting, and life cycle assessments (LCA) includingproduct carbon footprint (PCF) reporting.
- 3+ years of experience in sustainability management, corporatesocial responsibility (CSR), or environmental compliance.
Travel requirements:
15% to 25% of travel will be required

The target salary range for this position is 127,500
- 189,200 USD.
The salary offered will be determined by the candidate’s location,qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside ofthis range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in linewith industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, andinclude a comprehensive benefits package.
